Well done on navigating the awkward lunch Watty, glad it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.0

Well done Watty! You've hit it dead on the nose, it's important to find whatever positives there are while keeping true to yourself - between gifting to the kitten's rescue centre and the younger generation themselves seeming to be good folks, you've done ever so well2023: the year I get to buy a car0

And everyone else here too. x
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Flying visit to update before going on jolly to London with two friends. So looking forward to horsey adventures at a big Christmassy show, gossiping, late night in hotel bar, lie in and more gossiping. Should be a much needed break. And in MSE news because there really should be some, I emptied the £2 coin money box yesterday to find I have £94 to have fun with. Brilliant :j I never noticed those £2 leaving my purse over the last 12 months and I have a lovely lump sum to just have pure fun with.
The MFW part of me is thinking I could overpay that but with all that has gone on I have decided to just relax and have fun with it and spend it on me over the next 2 daysMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

That's good, we all need that balance - without it, that's when people start talking about burnout
Have a brilliant time, it sounds great2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Enjoy your weekend! I'm jealous - we had so much fun going to Olympia a few years ago.
Don't feel guilty not OPing the £94. As much as we preach "every little helps", in the grand scheme of things £94 is not going to save you much in interest or time paying things off, and it will get you a very nice weekend guilt-free.0 -
Have a lovely weekend - and enjoy spending your fun money

Have a great weekend! I'm with hiddenshadow, even when every little helps, sometimes you night have to let loose a bit. Otherwise we'd all go entirely nuts.0

The time at Olympia was indeed lovely. We stayed in a posh hotel and the service was so very poor that we ended up having a large chunk of the bill removed so it was a bargain. And as we had a sense of humour about the whole thing and much laughter it didn't really spoil our time away at all. Bought a Christmas gift for one person, a pair of stirrups, a lovely mug and a book. Drank. Ate well. Gossip and giggles. Wonderful
Only downside is that Most Handsome fetlock swelled up like a balloon and he is now on 'box rest' which means he has to stay in his stable. He is very unhappy as is Fell Pony who has to be kept in to keep Most Handsome calm. Fell Pony really cannot see the point of being a security blankie at all and clearly feels Most Handsome should pull his hooves together!!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Poor ponies! I hope MH (and FP, by association) don't have to stay on box rest for long.0
