How are you Watty?xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Keep meaning to catch up but then run out of time. Things have settled down somewhat. No resolutions in any way and I think it will be time before that happens. But we are living in the same house and getting along and doing things together sometimes so only time will tell. Doctor wanted to sign Mr Watty off again, and Mr Watty refused, but the boss suggested a compromise of reduced hours. That will impact the finances but I am sure we will manage and I am just being nice. I suspect it will take him a while to recover and I suspect the panic attacks, anxiety and so on are far worse than he is admitting.
I'm trying to be nice. Not always successfully but mostly!
I'm running more which helps me out. Did a 5 k Santa run today which was brilliant fun. Loved it. Mr Watty is working this evening so kitten is watching the blue planet, I am taking a few mins to catch up on here before taking dog to late night hay the ponies and bed.
Running definitely quietens my mind.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Have woken with a lot of floaters in one eye. At least google reassures me that is what they are. Its making working rather difficult so quick call to opticians and am popping in there this afternoon. I'm overdue for an eye check anyway ...and planning a sneaky and definitely not MSE lunch in a lovely caf! nearby opticians. Its all black steel and green herbs and does healthy food ...but at a price :rotfl:
the wheels coming of the relationship have definitely had an impact on the finances.....Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Good to hear from you Watty, and that things are a bit calmer - not resolved, but calmer. The animals sound like a real anchor for you
I love the idea of kitten watching the blue planet
(running too, in theory, anyway
).
Yikes to floaters - stress? Good for you for getting it all seen to right away.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I have had floaters for as long as I can remember. Then they went from one eye after a) having a partially detached retina re-attached and b) having a cataract op in the same eye, cataract being 'caused' by the re-attachment process. Not the best way to get rid of them, so I do not recommend it!
And they do return. Sigh. Opticians can see them and they always told me yhey were normal. Put paid to any aspirations to work in air traffic control, though...
Am super impressd with you for running. And for still being there. And for being as kind as you can. And for looking after yourself. Always rooting for you :T:T:T.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hope the optician visit goes well xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Optician was really thorough and I felt reassured ....although ..did have a reaction to eye drops and haven't been able to do much for 24 hours (sigh)....
Mr Watty away on course so just me and the animals at the moment. Most Handsome put his best foot forward and went lame ...but ...seems to be improving without the need for vet and has a long standing appointment with back lady tomorrow so we will see what she finds.
And ... Mr Watty's brother and his sons are coming for a Christmas celebration on Saturday. I have had a text sent to all advising us of this. Of course I am delighted - not ! Funny how I haven't seen the nephews in ages and now here they are coming to enjoy a festive lunch with us. Odd that ? Or am I just cynical ?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Yikes - this sat? Well, I guess it gets it over with.... Le's hope that they bring some festive cheer and do not expect it to be served up on a plate to them while they just sit back.
You could always need to go and check on Most Handsome's dodgy foot - could take you hours, youknow...
Am joining you over in the cynical camp. Chin up, chuck xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

They have booked a table in a local trendy gastro pub. And are coming mob handed in that brother, sister in law, two sons and girlfriends all coming.....and are even bringing presents. I caustically said I gave up doing gifts when the boys turned 18 as we had never had a thank you note. But brother said it might be a bit embarrassing if we did not swap. Frankly I thought I would survive .... but... will now add shopping to my increasing list of "things to do"
I realise this is (a) brothers only visit to his mother over Christmas and he will then feel he has done his bit - and - (b) an attempt to soften me up and make me realise his lovely sons need money ......
I guess most readers of this diary will realise that (a) infuriates me and (b) is totally pointless :rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
