Sorry you felt down, Watty. You have a lot going on, on nearly every front, it's bound to pile up sometimes
just carry on with your self care plans. And your plans in general, actually.

Thank you. Feeling brighter today... helped by sorting the finances.hiddenshadow wrote: »Would walking Most Handsome in hand be helpful? Began work on the knotted hanky fund. Checked credit cards and paid off a couple. I usually pay off in full each month. Checked bank accounts. Spending has not been as out of control as I suspected The joint account was struggling a bit so I have handed my cash over to Mr Watty and asked him not to use the joint account until he is paid. Need to check that again and find notes from accountant re how much tax to pay in Jan then knotted hanky fund can get going.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In other news one of the nephews has sent a thank you note to both Mr Watty and I for his Christmas gift. Ummm.....I would bless that if I were not so cynical. I stopped sending gifts when he was 18 as I had never had a thank you note. This year under pressure gifts were exchanged and we get a thank you note. I am trying to be nice :rotfl: trying honestlyMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Inspired by squirrel who first mentioned putting everything in knotted hanky and running away the knotted hanky saving is now fully underway. It will include all the money I have in accounts in my name only and so may fluctuate a bit if I have to draw cash out to spend or bail out the joint account but after setting aside the Jan tax money it stands today at a very respectable £3776.40
I've set in my mind a target of end July for some kind of resolution as that is when the next tax instalment date is. Seemed fitting to work on tax payments dates somehow as they at least provide a marker in the year.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

This is probably a sucking eggs situation and not sure if he is even allowed to trot but Plops (so nappy we call her Pampers) finds it much harder to do at a trot.0

thanks. Its mainly because I stopped overpaying when it all started to unravel and work was really good last September and I had left earnings in company.
I was delighted with how much there was to start the fund off when I tallied it all up though. Was more than I thought there.smallholdingsister wrote: »This is probably a sucking eggs situation and not sure if he is even allowed to trot but Plops (so nappy we call her Pampers) finds it much harder to do at a trot.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Usefully used the unable to sleep time by applying for a credit card that does not charge fees on overseas transactions. Thank you for the tip MSE. Been meaning to do this for a while now. Buy something from overseas website every other month and this will be cheaper as no fee. Also used time to eat remaining chocolates!
