Two books sold on Green Metropolis. Not really money making after postage paid but will make a small amount and better than just taking to a charity shop as they weren't really charity shop type and can be found for pennies on Amazon so not worth listing there (medical student text books). Pleased they have found a home.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Every little helps even, if it's not monetary you will be saving someone else buying a new book and gives you more space.
LgpMortgage value was £135,000 now £43,218
TCB total £12000 -
I gave up on Green Metropolis after I came to the conclusion that I was probably making 20p a book. At that rate, I'd probably rather leave them sitting on the shelf. A shame how quickly such useful objects can reach the end of their 'useful' life. I remember finding that annoying as an undergraduate, how the £25+ anthology from the previous year was now useless as the lecturers were too lazy to provide more than one set of references/page numbers :rotfl:0

Take your point on Green Metropolis Ed but it is part of the declutter and the office shelves are overstuffed with text books. Most of which I don't use at all these days!
Yes Floppy very keen to give jumping a go too which is down entirely to the inspirational teacher I have found. Although missed lesson today as when she turned up this morning baby was in field. I thought it was 2.30 and it was really 10.30 doh.Made her a cup of tea, apologised profusely and re-booked.
Now as it is early in the month am looking at the financial picture. Not great. Last month I paid tax bill, got corporation tax bill, paid liability insurance and business insurance and accountant fees....there is nothing left in the pot. Hey ho, didn't make it mortgage free by the end of January 2014 but am not giving up. Am here for the long haul.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Hi All,
Watty - i agree sometimes its good to let things go to get the space back but understand your point too Ed - i have felt the pinch of disappointment that the books that i needed for a course didn't hold much value by the time i came to sell them. Sometimes i think 'at that price i'd rather keep it' and at others i'm all for seeing bags and bags of stuff leaving the house

Great plan!
Been quiet last couple of days working on major wardrobe declutter. Got a friend to come and help and after 2 evenings of sorting, 3 bags of clothes that dont fit thrown or in heap for charity shop.
Another eye saw lots of outfits out of things I rarely -err- make than never - wear. And some looked really really good
It was fun to go through wardrobe with someone. And since then have been undertaking major washing exercise as I confess some clothes smelt very ..err.."musty" since I shut them in a wardrobe with a coat that had dog treats in pocket:rotfl:and left them there!
Nearly there now and everything clean and ironed and not put away unless mended. Feel quite old style as am actually mending things! Will be taking a dress to be altered as it was in the "throw" heap until friend took pins to it and showed me that it would look really good if it was shorter. Have also altered a couple of other items too and quite excited it all.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
