Thanks Alchemilla. The funeral service was taken by a friend of mine and was a lovely service. Just so very sad time.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Busy weekend. Hired lorry to take babypony out. First time in lorry ever. What a good boy he was, both travelling and at competition.
Decluttering was limited to throwing out a hat, a few bits and pieces and then today starting on filing cabinet. 5 inches in recycling bin. 3 inches shredded. Great job!
Found a savings account with £5 in. Will work out tomorrow how to shift that into the overpayment pot!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Woke up feeling a bit down about this. And then as I start to type why I can hear a voice in my head say *look how much you have cleared* And whilst I want to reply in an Eyeore style that is just because I've used savings and the endowment I have a nagging sense that acutally if I hadn't started the diary and made the committment some of that money might have drifted elsewhere.
I want to say we will be paying a mortgage till we are in our 70s in my Eyeore voice but then I hear a voice in my head say look your mortgage repayments have fallen a lot. You could now make those repayments if you had a conventional job. Which you couldn't before you began this journey.
Eyeore me wants to say that I can't see where to save any more money. And then the positive voice says come on look £200 made on ebay. And you did decide to spend money on restoring confidence with your horse. And look how well that is going.
Positive voice is reminding Eyeore that January and February always have a lot of business expenses so there is no profit in the business and therefore there would be nothing to put to overpayment pot - but - equally this is the first time in years I have not had to take money from savings to get by.
Eyeore off to muck out two horses.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Hey Watty,
Tell Eyeore that you're doing brilliantly. To a newbie like me, your signature's really inspiring - you've almost halved your mortgage since you started, something that mostly seems like a dream at my end of things, but your sig shows a reality which is possible with a lot of hard work and dedication, so your progress shows how my dream can also become a reality, and I really appreciate that.
You're right about Jan and Feb too, they are always grotty on most fronts and losing your poor neighbour on top is plenty enough to bring out the little blue donkey, but I'll tell you what, it's March at the end of the week, and I'm sure Tigger will come out to play! Just hang in there (you're doing a grand job)!
* Yes, I resisted bringing Pooh up in all this ... you've just been mucking out, after all! X

Habibiboo that made me laugh! Cheers. Took DVD to post office to send to a friend in the US. Repaired my lovely leather purse whilst listening to Archers. Suprised at how much satisfaction can be had from doing something old style rather than just buying a new one. Now really must do some work.....Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
