Well, an hour of reading diaries and I feel more motivated to get back on with things after somewhat iffy morning where I lost dog. Lost dog, finally rang friend to ask for help finding him as he must have got out. Friend didnt answer. Then heard dog barking. After much searching discovered daft dog had somehow got himself stuck in haybarn as a lot of stuff had fallen down behind him. Decided quickest way to free dog was to move 50 bales of hay. Mid moving hay friend calls to see what I wanted. I drop phone. Needle / haystack?? Decided to continue freeing dog - by then realise dog has trapped a cat behind some of the fallen stuff hence barking. Phone still on but how lost in hay. Friend on end hears noise and - recalling the break ins here - jumps to the WRONG conclusion and imagines dog and I are confronting intruders and the silence is because I've been hit over head. Friend calls police. Finally I free dog - drag dog out over hay, fall flat on face in garden, now covered in mud. Exhausted return to house. Make cup of tea. Find phone. Call friend to explain and apologise only to hear that the police are on route :rotfl:
Police turn up and I am just so embarressed. Have to explain whole sorry tale - there am I covered in mud, with huge dog in disgrace by fire. Police ask if I would like them to check barn but I explain that with 50 bales of hay and multiple bits of wood and tools strewn all over it, barn is now a health and safety issue. :rotfl:
3 cups of tea, one slice of toast and a good read on MSE forum and am now ready to start day all over againMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

The Devon kind Alchemilla. I don't have a 4x4 to pull the Wiltshire kind! Though of course car could be changed I suppose. But it is the Devon kind that is calling to me. Am going to do a chart of how often I would use in the next 6 months and take it from there......Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Not sure!! Will find out and report back. Many many years ago I had a lorry and it was certainly easier than a trailer. But that was like another lifetime ago.
No MFW news today. Decluttered whole pile of papers from office though.
Wonder if this rain will ever stop? Hope everyone ok.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

:j Jumping lesson today at local riding school. Lovely steady little cob that was just so reliable. Really enjoyed it. So, in a few months have progressed from not really wanting to get on to getting on and enjoying it, going to a local dressage show and now jumping.
Baby going to the same place to have his first ever look at jumps at the weekend. The plan is for me to have jumping lessons, and the boy to have jumping lessons and then we will start doing it together.
So excited by the whole thing have come home and bought a couple of small blocks and poles for us to practice on at home. Big assumption there that baby and I take to jumping - but - if I dont sort out the basics I suspect I will just put it off indefinately.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
