Thank you so much Alchemilla, lovely to have the support :)

Fed up with the rain. Didnt ride and am sure we are 2" shorter due to this rain fall.

Reviewed business finances again. Ahem. January had a lot of expenditure and February going same way. Not much for the kitty.

And not entirely sure Mr Watty on board. I carefully planned meals and did an online shop. And Mr Watty says he wants too cook me a valentines meal. How nice I think. He insists on going to local farm shop. Returned and cooked delish meal of asparagus to start, fillet steak and new potatos and salad followed by strawberries and cream. I fear he does not realise it is 'February and cold'...and there is the hugest pork joint in the fridge. He is, it seems making roast pork over the weekend and assures me there will be left overs. I think thats the food budget blown for sure, bless him. Dinner was nice though!:)

  • How lovely of Mr Watty to go and buy the ingredients and cook you a lovely meal - very romantic :D But i know what you mean about the additional spends - it is hard with trying to appreciate things sometimes without thinking about the money isn't it? :)

Lorry research indicates that small horseboxes lovely to drive unless a previous equine related accident left one with damage to left arm such that driving anything with a gear stick not really an option. Thought I could manage a lorry as gear stick comes out of dash rather than floor but ...yes... could .. but 20 mins was enough. Cant really buy a lorry to drive 20 mins then take 2 pain killers and winge :rotfl:

Lovely chap let me try an automatic but that had issues too and he was so keen to tell me what they were that I've ruled that out.

Now as baby has only been to one show this might all have been a bit premature anyway :rotfl:but glad I've done the research.

MFW news is that I spent the remainder of a very blustery day reviewing some reports and just invoiced £200 for doing so. Very happy with this. Trying to ignore that it will cost way more to fix fence that Mr Watty braced to stop it coming down completely in high winds. At least we are dry and not suffering any major damage. Hope all reading have survived yet more storms.

You will have to get an automatic 4x4 and a trailer.

Does seem that way! Friend gave me a lift to baby's first ever jumping session and said if I buy a 4x4 I can borrow her trailer which was lovely of her.

Mr Watty however now taken up the research as lorries are a "mans thing" :rotfl:and is on the case as there is one type of lorry that is possible. Have left it with him, along with the 4x4 idea.

Happy to report baby was a total star at yard we went to. It was his first sight of poles and jumps etc and he just did loose jumping and was fabulous. Took to the exercises well and behaved beautifully and made lots of friends at the yard too. Was a very proud horse owner :j

MFW news: none. Was too tired after w/end to face listing things on ebay. Must do better :)

Work work work !! Hope I make some money this month to overpay....

Decluttered 1 battery operated stapler sold on ebay. Total ebay sales since Jan have contributed just over £200 to income :j And I did notice how quick it was to tidy a decluttered room :)

Horse has had mane pulled and had a lovely lesson today. All very postive. Planning another dressage competition for weekend.

You are doing fab on ebay.
Did you pull the mane yourself? I did ponyplops on monday. Another eight goes and she might resemble a pony.

You know, on the topic of water meters, maybe you could put in a borehole?

I cheated and asked a friend who used to do a lot of showing with her pony. As baby isn't so keen on having his mane pulled she used a solo comb. It looks very neat - but - if I am honest I preferred the unruly pony mane :) I am definately letting the forelock grow out. Still suppose it will be easier to plait.

Another jumping lesson today at local riding school. Exhausting. But fun :). Very happy. Might only be 3 tiny fences in a grid but I'm jumping :j

Off to a funeral in a bit. Neighbour. Puts a lot into perspective. Same age as me. Looked after 2 horses for someone else but never rode as nervous and was always going to get round to it.
She was my dog sitter too and helped out a lot. I will miss her. Hard to belive she is gone really.
