Hurrah. Just had a phone call from a company I have occassionally done surveys for as they were updating their records and I had given up on as I had been screened out of the last few.
After quick chat, I logged into see if there were any surveys as they pay £15 a time. No survey - but - I had a £15 payment waiting to be claimed.
I admit I spent it on a book I have really been wanting for a couple of months and that the library doesn't have. I did think about the overpayment pot - but - after the month so far really felt like splashing out on me.
I am so excited and pleased. Spending money when I wasnt focused was never so much fun:)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

"Man to trim laurels £150. Am particuarly annoyed about this one as all I've done is pay to trim them back to where they were last summer - that is - I've paid for the neighbours maintence. I feel totally conned. They refused to "cut back" as requested. Gallygirl's mysterious disease may appear in our area I fear..........."
I wondering if maybe every 2 or 3 weeks when neighbour is out that Mr Watty could do some light trimming to keep said bushes at this height??0 -
Great suggestion GreenNinja. Am thinking of upfronting it and saying to neighbour that we would be happy to trim on a regular basis say every couple of months as the man has made such a lovely job and we could work to his line?
Its a huge long hedge and I'm worried about doing it on the QT as they might come home !
If I feel brave enough I may say something......but they are so bloody difficult over their laurel hedge maybe your suggestion is better than my idea.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Accountant has been to discuss Company Accounts. It always feels like a school report when he visits ..."could do better if she would only apply herself" was a phrase oft used in school reports and seems to be an underlying comment from Accountant.
Now off to look on line for a "licence to occupy the property" for me to give my company to comply with some daft bit of tax legislation so I can rightly claim some of the house costs against the company.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

He is fabulous thank you. Thanks to lovely neighbour his hacking confidence has grown and so has mine. Hard to believe 4 months ago i was having a total melt down and was never going to ride again. My confidence has really grown.
Have stuck with lunge lessons which have helped me.
And that has helped him! And my big pony news - gulp - baby and I have entered a dressage competition next Saturday. I've just sent off the entry form. :T
A friend has a trailer and she is going to give us a lift and the lovely instructor who has really helped me in the last couple of months (from the place I've been having the lunge lessons) offered to ride him in the first class to help him settle and gain confidence before I take him into the second class.
Am so happy that baby and I are going to give this a go.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Is it just me or is it getting more complicated to list on ebay these days? Listed 14 items today from declutter so fingers crossed. Do have a few more but have lost the will a bit so will save those for another time.
Nice day! Lazy morning with the odd bit of housework, then rode baby in the arena and groomed the retired Fell, which took some doing and rather a lot of *product* on the mane!! Then Mr Watty wanted to go out for dinner. Pointed out we are on a tight budget and them compromised on a late Roast lunch at the local pub. I have the breaking strain of a kitkat obviously :rotfl: Lovely evening (as lunch was still served at 6 pm) with great meal for £23 including drinks. Can't complain as my only offerings are from freezer/store cupboard and he is muttering that we must spend on groceries soon .....
Only slight flaw is that I appear to have gained weight and competition clothes which have not seen the light for many many years do not fit - well - jacket does but breeches will only fit if I dont need to breath ....:rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Wow. 3 things on ebay sold. £23 made! Hurrah!
Practised dressage test on baby. He went beautifully.
Found a white pair of jods at back of wardrobe that are somewhat stained and won't come clean despite a wash. I plan to wear them anyway on Saturday rather than try to clean up in case I shrink them - anything - to save buying a new pair!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I know its a little late but it took me time to work out.
My 2014 goal is is to clear at least £15756 from the mortgage.
I came up with the figure as it is the amount I would need to get to mortgage neutral, allowing for emergency savings, the Stocks and Shares ISA and the emergency business fund.
Strictly those three things are really for 'other uses' but it seemed a nice way of a thinking of a target for this year. Would still like to meet my original aim of mortgage free by January 2014 but that wasnt really viable:)
And my other goal is to continue building my riding confidence.
So at last my resolutions are set.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
