Sorry to hear about Mr Watty's Dad :( I hope they get him sorted soon and you get a chance to catch your breath.

Sounds like Mr Watty is catching on with the retirement idea though! :)

Another one thinking of you, Mr Watty and Mr Watty senior. I hope you are able to find some resolutions to the different situations that suit you all.

Thank you all, you lovely people for stopping by and sending good wishes.
Things unravelled somewhat predictably and so I have been catching up. Mr Watty's dad moved from hospital to a care home where they have experience of mental health. And so, once he is stable again we will start the round of getting him home. He so wants to come home that we will honour that - but my goodness it is hard with him at home. Still we have learnt a lot about his drugs and we can be more on the ball "next time" because - sigh - there is bound to be a next time.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I'm glad you were able to find a home with the right experience of his difficulties and his rehabilitation ... sorry it's an added drain for you, though, Watty.
