lol, yeah i would definitely class ours as a accidental house purchase to GG. It sounds as though there could be another one in this club soon ???? Come on Watty, it sounds perfect - a house you have had your eye on, figures all stacking up, both of you prepared to get sleeves rolled up ??? Sometimes its good to hesitate, sometimes......
oh, sorry, meant to also pass on my good wishes for doggy xxx

Am going to view house tomorrow. Although Mr Watty says now is not the time as he has no way of getting time off work. But ...might as well look inside - for research purposes only you understand
Dog doing well - went for his check up today and progressing nicely. Still got to wear the collar for another week  but at least he is recovering. And lovely administrator at vets agreed they could do a direct claim to insurance company for bill so that was nice. Only had to pay £50 excess. I know there will be more to pay but still nicer in my bank as it wereAnd as long as dog doing well I'm very happy:T
Hopefully he will be on his feet and back to normal soon.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Well the house was really interesting. And subject to doing some sensible research ...yes ...will look to buy another house at some point in the not to distant future! So thats another plan. Am loving how ideas are coming up on this journey
Wrapped 2 Christmas presents today and felt most frugal as one was a lovely silk scarve I won in a raffle earlier in the year but never wore as the colour was totally wrong for me. It was still in the bag as purchased/won so brand new but free to me (well minus the cost of the raffle ticket I suppose :rotfl:). So that was sister in law sorted. And brother in law getting the bottle of port someone gave me last year - which - was a totally pointless gift as I dont drink!! And as the wrapping paper was left over from last year and I made the gift tags from last years cards I felt most MSE!
This month shaping up to be expensive though as £200 on car bills, both cars needed insurance and pet insurance due. On the plus side looked at Mr Watty's mobile phone and have managed to half the bill. :T So its coming in...and going out ...and suspect not much for the overpayment kitty at the moment.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

So far so good. Have not bought a single Christmas gift from a high street store. Have managed by supporting village shops. Today nipped to next village along and bought one scented candle and three totally fabulous Christmas Tree decorations as another gift. Red glass large shapes with bling on, think Faberge :rotfl:
Had a figure to spend in mind and went just slightly over but as gift wrap will be left over from last year, with ribbon found in cupboard and home made gift tags think I'm doing well.
Might not be especially moneysaving but I am feeling great about supporting really small village businesses. Having started out intending to be frugal, when I do spend, I'm trying to think hard about where as well as how much.
Just small thank you for girls at local yard and Mr Watty to go then all gifts sorted.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Dare not sound too frugal. Winter riding boots have arrived. They are gorgeous. Lined with artificial fur, waterpoof and windproof and tested to -40C ...yeah I know I fell for the advert :rotfl:
I got to thinking if Jan Feb and March are really cold - and I hate being cold - then a good pair of boots would keep me riding. I think they might be £75 well spent.
I know I said no clothes ...but ..:) money on riding and related is allowed on the journey!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Catch up time after Christmas. For next year I need to remember to meal plan properly as there still seems to be far too much food in the fridge! Am slowly working my way through it and cooking it into freezable meals.
And to remember that it is perfectly acceptable to give everyone in Mr Watty's family socks. £3 to £6 on pairs of socks should sort presents with way less stress than this year. Or, a Whittards gift pack! And would all be so much cheaper.
And on the plus side I suppose neither Mr Watty or I need to buy socks :rotfl:
I do feel guilty over the whole present thing tho' I have no need for a bum bag duffle bag thinging or dust collecting stuff. And I have no intention of using the little metal poop scooping shovel for collecting dog poo.
Hey ho! On the plus side there were some fabulous parties care of my dog training crowd, a lovely christmas day with good friends and I love seeing the festive lights, the hunt moving off in a local town and taking my pony out for a boxing day potter round the lanes with two neighbours. All in good
And looking forward to a 'frugal january'Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
