    That's lovely.

I used to collect postcards, and my nan always used to send me cards from her day trips and coach holidays. I have kept these cards and like to read them from time to time,as I can hear her voice when I read the message

Glad you're feeling a little better

The story of your card reminds me of a similar one from our family history. One of my siblings has a birthday on Hogmany. My Grandmother died after a protracted illness shortly before Christmas, she had written cards for the family in advance, but not a birthday card. On siblings birthday, imagine our universal surprise when we discovered a card from her that had been missed from sibling's *last* birthday :)

We all felt like Heaven was very tangible that day.

I'm sorry to hear that you're wrestling with depression. I've had my own battles on that front and nothing that a doctor could provide did much for me. Luckily life has a way of distracting me out of it most of the time.

I'm glad it was positive crying, Watty ... trying to stay out of being depressed is so hard, though, isn't it ... having the card on your desk is lovely.

How very touching, Watty. Sometimes I feel like it's far too much like hard work to socialise, and actually just remembering fond times is enough to keep me company and keep me ploughing on a bit.
The horses help so much too, keeping a rhythm of life when I feel out of sync with the rest of the world. Mine is starting to moult like mad so there's never enough brushing to do!

    Hi Watty,

I hope today is much brighter for you. The card sounds beautiful, and I am sure it will have pride of place on your desk and be a source of inspiration to you when you need it most. I have a letter my late granddad sent me just before he died and I read it every now and again when I need a boost.

Look after yourself lovey - remember to be kind to you xx

Thank you all so much. You are all lovely. xx
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
