Monday Mayhem ~ Krazy Kitchen s9756.gif

    15 Minutes..
Clear the floor of unnecessary gibble
    Mop/hoover the floor
    30 minutes to spare..
Shine the sink and draining board. Make those taps shine and twinkle..
Wipe down worktops and wipe down all small electricals.
Rehome anything that is out of place
    Got an hour...
Clean inside the microwave. A good tip is to heat up a cup of water in the microwave - the steam shifts all the yukky stuff on the microwave :D
Clean the window and windowsill. Rehome anything that shouldn't be there :D
Sort through your cookery books/magazines. Are there any that you don't need that are just taking up space? Rehome them to the local charity shop...
    15 fling boogie

    Extra challenge:
    • Deweb, don't forget those corners
    • Clean light fittings/switches
    • Wipe down the doors
    • Empty those smelly bins
    • Clean that cupboard under the sink!!!

It's foggy out this morning, hoping it clears so the bedding can go on the line. Accidentally left OHs socks on the line overnight, do I need to rewash or just let them dry out again?

They will be fine. I often put washing out in the evening then it catches the early morning sun. I curse my neighbours when somebody lights a bonfire!

2 loads of washing put on the line. DS1 told to get up and tidy his room. WM reloaded.

I went to unload the dishwasher but it appears DD1's BF has done it. :)

Kids went back fine. Very excited to see their friends. It was nice to see the other parents. Everyone seems to have had a good summer.

Work for me now. I'm going on the bike!

  • bossymoo - hope DS enjoys today! I concur with Dusty - I don't remember dads turning up for first/last days at school - and I've been at that school for 19 years. None of my kids or any of their mates expected the dads to be there either. The dads who do turn up are either stay at home ones or ones who have custody...

Morning all. DD got back from Edinburgh at 11:30pm  thus leaving me to watch Under the Dome all on my ownsome
Have FIVE PINTS of blackberry-and-apple juice strained - so now I am off to Morries to clear them out of sugar :rotfl: and the blackberries were so plentiful, huge and dripping with juice that I may well go and get some more later. I can put a jar of mum's HM bramble jelly in with DS's Uni hamper;)
This means I will have to go scrumping for cooking apples (in my mum's garden)! All my jam and jelly costs me is sugar and time!
I've mislaid a purse - and, to my annoyance, I know it has £15 in it...

I used so few pots yesterday that I washed up by hand! WM run overnight and on line now.

I want to get a few jobs done today...

WM on and have even thrown the pillow protectors in (OH tends to turn them a lovely shade of yellow, haven't worked out if it's from his hair or sweat yet but it looked disgusting. Pillows still a glorious white though thank goodness)

Windows cleaned with some window cleaner that was lurking under the sink from previous occupants, didn't throw out when I tidied as waste not want not. Sills wiped, surrounds wiped, mirror wiped, chest of drawer cleaned.

    Time for some cake.
