Kitchen sorted, challenge list updated, need to do ironing, then take my list and go get DS school bag ready  is anyone else feeling emotional? Keep pushing the idea to the back of my mind that dad should be here to take him, too. Lordy I hope all he kids don't have two parents taking them tomorrow afternoon... Doesn't help that DS told me earlier "I should have two, you know. Not just you"
he wasn't being mean, just stating the obvious, as 4yr olds are wont to do.
I'll go do the ironing and pretend its not really happening, I'm god at that
ETA that should read good, not godBossymoo

Hi all
jools sorry for your loss, well done on the sorting, I found it was something I couldn't rush (I lost my OH 3 1/2 years ago) and I got rid of 'stuff' I wanted too not stuff that I felt I had too IYSWIM
LW I love your challenge! I've just started wearing perfume regardless of whether I'm going out or not.
fizzwhizz lovely photo of your family
Hugs & spoons for all I seem to have my GUAG

Monday Mayhem ~ Krazy Kitchen
15 Minutes..
Mop/hoover the floor
30 minutes to spare..
Wipe down worktops and wipe down all small electricals.
Got an hour...
Clean inside the microwave. A good tip is to heat up a cup of water in the microwave - the steam shifts all the yukky stuff on the microwave- I did the oven instead
Extra challenge:
- Deweb, don't forget those corners
- Clean light fittings/switches
- Wipe down the doors
- Clean that cupboard under the sink!!!
- HHI
Valli hope you're feeling a bit better (sorry not sure how to put it not too good putting it into words) about DS leaving for uni. Just wanted to say I was thinking of you.

Hello may I join you?
I keep saying I'll clean one room a day and I usually manage it for a week before my motivation goes
So I'm hoping that posting on here will help with the motivation and I'll keep going
So today I've done some of the list above, plus emptied the toaster while cleaning it, cleaned out 3 cats trays and done a bit of shopping.
I plan to reward myself with Thursdays off so I can go to yogaThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Phew! Right, I have now read and caught up on the thread so far.
Fizz; lovely photos; lovely family.
jools; so sorry to hear about your loss. Well done on todays progress though. You are quite right about the tools, they cost an absolute fortune. Not only that though, with him being in a specialist trade, he may well have stuff in there that he has cobbled together himself or cannot be found any more. I have heard that before from other people with large tool collections.
Bossy, I hope DS has a good first day tomorrow. You know it will be much harder for you than him, sadly, it's always the ay.
DD starts secondary school tomorrow. I want to take her but she's walking down to the shops about 1/2 a mile away to meet her friends. So independent. I've put off Grandma as I want to be selfish and hear all about her day first.
Really haven't done a great deal today, managed to sweep the floor in the kitchen. DWx3 done. Washing picked up from floor in front of wash basket and put into wash basket. Should have enough for a load tomorrow.
Managed to do a weeks shop for £51 in Mr T's earlier. Have 8 meals worth of meat though so it's all good.
Right, off to make a coffee and see if I can't persuade my lazy bum to do a little more.

I'm jumping back in this week, hope to do a lot better now all kids are away to school.
Today was spent doing messages and before I knew it was time to collect DS3, waited then for DS1 and DS2 then home dinner, DD arrived home all school books packed and dw put on. That's been my day.
Plan now is to get rest to bed, DS3 been in bed awhile. Hopefully he'll be in bed at a good time from now on. Gonna make a start on the list now.
Congrats fizzwhizz
Hope today went well juliejim

I did everything on my list too, plus meal planning for the next week or so.
Jools sorry to hear of your loss. You sound brave and determined. There are others here who have had a similar experience. I found the organisation at the top of this list very helpful in the months after I lost OH. You are not alone
helenjelly sorry to hear your news about DH. I hope you have more positive news soon. Remember to look after yourself too xx
Fizzwizz what a lovely pic! Glad you had a great day - congratulations!
Hope your new job went well juliejim
Hugs for those with children starting school / going to secondary school / going to uni. When DS went to uni last year I didn't know his actual address for ages  (his Dad did as he took him). I learned (eventually) that 'no news is good news' - he only phoned me when he needed something and in the meantime was having the time of his life. So as long as he was happy I was happy. He's moved this year and I don't know that address either (again, his Dad does as he 'moved' him). He knows where I am if he needs me and he knows he can tell me (pretty much) everything. Gulp. Not sure if it will be the same with DD though, girls and boys are VERY different (no sh*t sherlock).
