Thank you all again! Valli, DSS is definitely not mine! But I'll take it as a compliment as he is a very handsome young man
Jools, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My Mum died aged 45 when I was 11 and although I had a few minor wobbles along the way, I'd like to think I turned out okBest wishes to you and your DC.
My kitchen is back to rights, I even managed to boss DS2 into sweeping up -- not bad for a first attempt when the broom is half as tall again as him.
All suitcases and toiletry bags emptied, wiped and put away. WM on its third load which is as much as I can get on the three airers we have.
My car isn't coming back today after all. No big problem as we are off to the outlaws for dinner shortly. Called the garage and new brake pads, discs and a calliper will set me back £300ish, thinking it over as it's old and getting to the stage where I might just be chucking good money after bad. But, if I can eek another 6 months out of it, there's 5,000 miles I'm not driving in a new car, IYKWIM?!
Uniform and bags all sorted for DS1&2 for tomorrow morning. Alarm set, dreading it going off already.0 -

3rd wash of the day on the line, most of the other washes in.
Grass cut by DS1&3
DS1 to remake his bed
All downstairs floors hoovered/mopped as appropriate
Going to S&S the shower room then sew the badge on and get DS3 to finish his homework (nearly done)
Then dinner and meal plan and shopping list.
Challenge cycled to town and back with DS3, only 10 minutes each way but better than nothing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
LameWolf I love your challenge. Have you ever read 'A Day Book of Comfort and Joy'?

We have a great book place in our town called free books. Charity to stop books going to landfill, you can take 3 on any visit totally free, return or keep them as you choose. Got one for DS3 today as a school reading book and no worry of him loosing a library book. I shall pop in most times I'm in town I think. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
dusty those bookshops sound fantastic, but sadly none in our area.

Wm x 4 all pegged out.....DD4 decided to give herself a porridge facial :rotfl: so she had an extra bath after lunch
I WILL get back out to the kitchen as I have so much that I want to get done in there, but it is just a matter of trying to get it done.
Currently have DD4 multitasking press ups while blowing raspberries on my knee, less frustrating than her grabbing for the lappy while trying to do internet banking! The cold never bothered me anyway0 -

The last of OH's clothes, mostly contents of sock and underwear drawers, have been deposited at the dump and CS as appropriate, all his many tool boxes of work tools are in the corner of DD's room, he was a floorlayer and most are special tools, so I have asked his friend if he or OH's last apprentice want any of them, I know how much money we forked out over the years for them so if they want/need any they are better using them! Two hugely overflowing baskets of ironing sorted ready to be tackled, as I need to sort out some holiday clothes.
2 loads of washing done, and on the airer and radiators
Have driven to work and back, about 60 miles each way, for a meeting about returning to work, decluttered a cuppa and a chat with the staff, popped in to see my mum, and been to the supermarket.
Have a drawer and the top of the wardrobe to explore, which are full of loads of memories like cards from the kids etc, so that will be full of laughter and tears! Other than that, once we find a home for OH's collectibles, like boxes and boxes of records and programmes, the room is actually nowhere near as bad as my terror of going through OH's things was making me think it was, however will need to clear out the furniture, strip the walls and get the plasterer in before I decide whether to get wardrobes built in or what do do, I have an image in mind, but having looked at a few of these built in wardrobe showrooms the prices are unbelievable, I may be sweet-talking some of OH's joiner friends looking for a favour or two!!!
Anyways, have had a rotten cold all week and feeling very congested, so am leaving it for today, tomorrow will climb the ironing mountain and that will clear a huge space! Thanks for the welcome back and the support ladies!!!!!RIP Iain

Bossy - can you put my personal challenge as "to sort out the online craft shop and get it up and running again" please. Everything has been in boxes since we moved and I'm starting to get a bit twitchy about it now.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
