Bossy - that's a yes to swimming!
Jools - big hugs - and good luck. Much support to be had here!
Mumto5 - congrats to your DS - we have survived relegation, but need an influx of players for next season.
My washing machine is still not back, despite promise of a morning delivery...... I am gritting my teeth - it is a lovely warm and breezy day and I want washing on the line!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Afternoon everyone
Fizzwhiz, lovely pics, glad it all went well.
Joolz, big hugs from here too. Let us know when you need a bit of collective support.
So, I have cleaned the oven - I know it wasnt on the list but it was filthy! All the ironing done, 2 hours of paid work completed, shepherds pie made for tea and I am about to start tackling the worktops and floor. May take the dog for a walk first.
I really should go into town for a few things but cant be bothered. Starting a new job tomorrow and the reality of it is sinking in. Stomach starts churning if I think about it too deeply so its best to keep busy I think!
Oh and Lancashire Hotpot - potatoes definitely. Surely if you put suet crust on top it becomes a pie?
Ah well, onwards and upwards.0 -
I'm (trying very hard to be) in this week. Thanks for the lists Natty. Just at work on lunch break thinking about what needs doing later. Kitchen needs a good clean. WM needs to go on a couple of times and ironing is also on the agenda for later. Also needs to drop some stuff off at my brother's, and do a food shop.
To those doing the couch to 5k - I did that a couple of years ago and it was really worth it. Just stick with it and you will be amazed at what you can do :T
Hugs and posi-vibes where needed.0 -
Monday Mayhem ~ Krazy Kitchen
15 Minutes..
[STRIKE]Clear the floor of unnecessary gibble[/STRIKE]
Mop/hoover the floor
30 minutes to spare..
[STRIKE]Shine the sink and draining board. Make those taps shine and twinkle..[/STRIKE] - well the utility sink and drainer - garrrrgh it was rough, hasn't been done in ages and full of lint
[STRIKE]Wipe down worktops[/STRIKE] half the room done, the other half to go and wipe down all small electricals.
Rehome anything that is out of place
Got an hour...
[STRIKE]Clean inside the microwave. A good tip is to heat up a cup of water in the microwave - the steam shifts all the yukky stuff on the microwave[/STRIKE]
Clean the window and windowsill. [STRIKE]Rehome anything that shouldn't be there[/STRIKE]I have hoovered the window sill :rotfl: dead leaves from plants and dead wasps that obviously upset DD1 last night (decluttered wasp spray back out of reach of the little Skints)
Sort through your cookery books/magazines. Are there any that you don't need that are just taking up space? Rehome them to the local charity shop...
15 fling boogie
Extra challenge:
- Deweb, don't forget those corners
[STRIKE] - Clean light fittings/switches[/STRIKE] 9 down - 6 to go
[[STRIKE]*]Wipe down the doors[/STRIKE] - 18 down, 13 to go! - Empty those smelly bins
- Clean that cupboard under the sink!!!
- HHI
Well, things are getting of the list at last.....sitting with a quiet brew while DD1 and DD3 keep DD4 somewhat occupied while I re-charge for more Daisy mode and flying.
Back to report in shortlyThe cold never bothered me anyway0 - Deweb, don't forget those corners

We got the mogs results back and as I guessed it is a cyst... though the vet insists it is a tumour and petulantly suggested it was a cyst inside a tumour.. yeah whatever you say dearie! Anyway.. he is back at vet on Wednesday 10:15am.. .. if they want to remove it I will be saying yes.. it doesn't bother him but it makes brushing him difficult as the brush makes it sore.
OH and Delilah are up eventually..
WM x2 on.. I have an empty wash basket!!
Moomin washed
I have a dollop of gammon to throw in the SC for dinner tonight.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Definitely sliced potatoes on top of the hotpot.
All kitchen flying done, bar cleaning the window. I'm delighted that the under sink cupboard was on the list - it's been bugging me for yonks. All in order now :T
More phone calls to make (boo hiss). I hate picking up the phone.
Will make this darned call to Scottish Power then get out of my PJ's and go walk the dog. Working tonight so no more flying for me today.Decluttering junk and debt in 2016
Debts - Vanquis £3500 1/1/16; DFD - when I'm dead with £100,000,000+ interest  UPDATED Feb 2016 £2739.80; DFD June 2016 :j
Next - £1500 1/1/16 DFD about 10 years time. UPDATED Feb 2016 £1371.16; DFD July 2016 :j
THE GOAL IS TO HAVE NO DEBT BY THE END OF 20160 -
Well the machine is back! They really struggled to get it back in place - why do kitchen designers not leave enough space?
If nothing else I have managed the extra challenge of clearing out the cupboard under the sink - it is empty because the bloke needed to get to the plumbing.....;);)
I faithfully promise to sort stuff before it goes back in.
The machine sounds better than it did before! Bloke said it's problems were due to wear and tear - my sister pointed out that 9 years with constant washing for my family is probably 18 years for an average family - she may well have a point there!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
OK, I'll be doing what I can manage this week.:o I've *gulp* just PM'd Bossy with what I hope is a do-able and not too stupid Challenge.:eek::eek:
We'll be preparing for our holiday once Lizzie goes home, so Flying will be aimed in that direction – using up perishables and tidying/cleaning the emptied storage areas/boxes, that sort of thing; getting the stuff we want to take washed and packed (I refuse to wash something to take at the last minute).;)
Today I've – yet again:D – hand-washed the purple dress I bought when we went to Kent a couple of years ago. I have to hand-wash it cos it runs better than Usain Bolt. And I must give Lizzie a good brush so that she's all pretty to go home tomorrow.:o
FizzWhizz congratulations; lovely pics!
Helen honey I wish to goodness I was mobile, I'd come and get your ironing – I can do ironing if Mr LW sets the ironing board up for me.:o If you think of any way I can be of help, you know where my pm box is. (((HUG))):o Ooh, and congrats to DS3. I know nowt about cricket, but it's clearly a great achievement for him.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon,
I'm in a bit late... but I'm in! Thanks for the lists natty and merci pour la semaine derniere valli

Question: do microwaves have a 'shelf life'? I bought a super-cheap one about 8 years ago; it seems to be working fine but a friend said something about fans burning out and it becoming dangerous??? She thought I should have replaced it by now.
WM x 1 -including DW filter
WM now on hot cycle with white wine vinegar to clean
DW on
Dying flowers binned
Totally dead little pot plant binned
Very brief tidy of one kitchen cupboard
Table cleared
Cloths & tea towels sorted
Potato & spinach omelette cooked & scoffed
I have work to do this afternoon as well, so I'm doing half hour work, half hour flying etc from 2pm until 3.30pm when DD will be home, then she's out at 4pm for an interview for a Saturday job at the local garden centre - job-getting vibes would be much appreciated
Also I must:
Package up shoes niece left here last week
Ring the print shop
Sort birthday card for J
Rewash LR curtains
Shame you can't make the meet bossy, mumto5, jazee & CY (btw Alan Partridge film was hilarious, I loved it!) Glad to hear you can make it frodders, ionafan, juliejim, FBO, deco, rebecca & shortbird - thanks for the link to tourist info). If I've missed anybody, apologies, please correct me! My train fare from mid Kent to Birmingham is £11.50 each way :money: I can't believe it. It costs more than that for an off-peak return to London alone, how can it be so cheap?? (not that I'm complaining, just amazed)
Right it's 2pm - back to work
