Nina by nina ricci in the apple shaped bottle. not worn anything else for years now, it's my favourite.
I recently had a smell of the new marc jacobs perfume honey and I really liked it. but at £50 it's on my Christmas list0 -

I have three or four different ones on the go at a time and they barely last a year, perfume is always on my Christmas list and I still sometimes have to top up mid year (I'm now on the dregs of a three from last Xmas)
I've found dutyfreeperfumes to be a great site to buy from and go through top cash back to save even more, they sell genuine perfumes but as testers, they come in the proper bottles but they come in plain packaging and have tester written in tiny print. I got an 80ml bottle of Nina Ricci for less than a 30ml anywhere else.0 -
Ooooh ok, some of my favourites are:
- Thierry Mugler Angel
- Vera Wang Rock Princess
- Prada Candy
- Penhaligon's Juniper Sling ( this is very different to what I usually go for)
The ones I personally tend to go for are very sweet perfumes0 -
Bulgari Jasmin Noir. It's slightly more expensive than standard perfumes, about £65 for 50ml, but my god I love it so much. Just a tiny bit on your wrists and that's all you need.0

I quite fancy trying it, not that I wear CM, though I did go through a period of wearing Coco years ago.
Apparently Lidl's Suddenly won a smell test over the real Chanel CM.
My friend who was in Lidl when they had a delivery of it and watched ladies buying it by the box-full asked what the fuss was and was told this.
He bought me a bottle - it was £1.99 then but has since gone up to £3.99 - and it does smell nice.
I like some of the Avon fragrances, I'm thinking of buying the 2 Herve Leger EDP on half price offer.0 -
For years my fave was Ma Griffe by Carven - my Mum wore it in the Fifties and I managed to track some down for her. Have to say, in the Eighties I loved Fidji, and Mandate aftershave"Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I struggle with perfumes as a lot smell artificial and chemical to me too OP.
If you want something light a good idea may be to get the body lotion in a fragrance you like. It hangs about ages but isn't as strong as using perfume from the bottle..and often it's cheaper. Most perfumes have the body lotion to match.
My personal favourite, being a lover of light, clean fragrances is Diptyque Philosykos. It's impossible to describe but it's just so fresh and totally doesn't overpower. I've only managed to find it in Space NK at present but apparently John Lewis stock it as well.
The cool blue fragrance you mentioned is a grapefruit sort of scent so a trip to Jo Malone might be good as they do a lot of fruity scents (although, as always some are way way too overbearing).
It doesn't have to be all about perfume though. My mum and I adore the smell of Rituals Rice Milk and Cherry Blossom body creme and I always get compliments on it. It's £15 for a large tub. I ran out last year and bought a different one in the Body Shop sale but the other day my mum picked me up and her car smelt of the Rituals so I just have to get some more as it is utterly devine!0 -
I always have a DKNY on the go be it Woman,Summer or Be Delicious they are all gorgeous everyday smells, light and fresh. For the first time ever I asked a stranger which perfume she was wearing as it was lovely, turned out to be Marc Jacobs Lola.Just waiting for it to come down in price and I'll get some..or there is always Father Christmas.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0
