my oh doesnt have an engagement ring, he has picked his ring but the day we went to look at them he had hurt his ring finger the night before so it was all swolen

theres no way my OH would ware an engagement ring lol but at least he is open to the wedding ring idea although he has said i havent got to get cross if he takes it off and forgets to put it back on
iv been trying to sort out a disco/Dj today but they all seem very expensive :eek:
iv also had a thought about invites not sure why i didnt realise this sooner but they dont all have to match as they are going to different people so i can use the stash of blank cards etc i bought ages ago for card making to make some and then buy the stuff to make the rest. which will dramatically cut the cost. iv also found a guest book that i bought ages ago (cant even remember why) in the craft stuff so im going to embellish that and buy a personalised pen, they have some nice ones on vistaprint.
only 5 months:eek: i think the time is going to fly over.

we are 'officially' engaged lol now we just have to keep the wedding secret for another 21 weeks how hard can that be :eek:
iv now ordered my shoes and booked the disco for reception. still undecided about invites. i want lovely invites but im still thinking thats one of the places i can cut back hmm

I compramised on invites. Got nice ones of vistaprint but they didnt cost anywhere near as much as places who specialise in them. I wanted pearalised card but it wasnt worth the money.

i was looking at pearlised card aswell but im thinking im better putting the money towards the buffet not many people keep invites.

Ours were cecycled paper, string and our home printer so for the amount that cost it was fun to make them together!

I've gone wedding crazy.... I don't know what it is but I'm starting to panic... I'm thinking it is 22 weeks away. I work monday to friday... thats ages... thats 22 weekends.... 154 days... thats 9 weekends we already have plans/ daytrips organised,1 weekend that is my OH's 40th birthday, 1 weekend we are going away... thats 11 weekends......11 weekends to other than keep the allotment going and grow wedding floers....make the wooden signs for reception, to help make 500 bunting flags, print ISpy cards, make twirly ribbon sticks instead of confette, find 2 more picnic tables and a tressle table, dress fittings for the girls, pick up welsh crisps, cheese, mead, biscuits, make welsh cakes, get material for barn drapes and picnic table covers, collect 100 jam jars, find an water urn, learn a new song on the guitar with 5 other people, get a wedding dress, pay for venue and food, when i start thinking i think of another thing and another thing and another thing...... <insert hyperventelating like a maniac>

My sensible organised part of my head which normally rules me is saying 'Whoaa girl it's five months away' but it is hidden in the corner because the rest of my brain is sat down, arms round knees rocking back and forth mummbling insanities....

3 weeks ago i was cool as a cucumber..... Are you lot still 'normal'?

definately not normal im panicking aswell 20.5 weeks for me :eek:
thankfully at the minute i dont work (spend all day running around after a 1yr old and a 2yr old so class that as work enough lol) and i decided to potty train 2yr old this week (to save money on nappies) which is taking up lots of time. my panic today was that i hadnt stuck blue chrystals on bridesmaids slippers (not even shoes just getting ready slippers) so iv done that this morn pmsl irrational me noooo.
best bit of today (apart from DD finally using potty instead of floor :j)
was when postman brought my wedding shoes .
tonights plan is deep breaths and red wine whos with me lol :beer:

You to are freaking me out, well that and my mum stressing about the little things like you need to get fake tan organised.

ive not counted the weeks still feels like ages though i have an idea when you 2 list them lol. I need to get bus organised (still!) But think ive not much left to do. Ill no doubt have a panic in a few weeks.

oh phoned about kilts today going in for a fitting on 21st feb cause thats when his best man n son are up from england but i am freaking out a bit that we havent paid a deposit and have visions of them turning round and saying that theyve no space left, they have said its fine btw.

managed to get bridesmaids necklace and we diamonte headband in debinhams sale. Mum had been asking about it alot so had a good look online. Think she just wants all the outfits sorted but i keep thinking weve got ages. Guess its not really sunk in. That and ive been trying to loose weight and cant help thinking in the time ive left im still going to be a fat bride.

weigh in this morning showed a loss of 13pounds total. However had started of a stone more than id thought i was.ooops

we also had the bad news that the house weve been in the process of buying since july has got major issues and were back to looking at houses. Gutted

sorry about the house my def something similar nearly happened to us before we bought this one the sale of our house fell through and we lost the one we were buying we later found out that it had major probs and the man who bought it (a builder buying for himself not to sell on) had had to spend 50k putting it right so would of cost us much more. and nothing had shown up in the survey. a lucky escape. we ended up with a much better house. but it must be stressing you out just before the wedding. im trying to lose weight aswell im just about there i ordered my dress a size smaller so iv had to be strict lol but it has got a lace up back. iv made flower arrangements for tables today and bought stuff for making invites so its been quite a productive day.
20 weeks tomorrow lol.

I gave in and counted 22 weeks eekk.

emailed about the bus today hopefully get it sorted asap

well done on loosing some weight. My dress is maybe 2 sizes too small but im getting a lace up back put into my dress so they said that will give more lee way.

im gutted about the house but the valuations 23k under what we offered now and the guy said it would take atleast 30k to a safe standard. Were thinking 'whats for you will not go by you'. Its stressful but we dont do things by halves oh went back to uni this year aswell. I think we may be mad lol
