Hi 74Jax!
Wow first anniversary
I hope you are thinking of all the wonderful things about your day looking back. I was actually inspired by the £3K wedding thread for our wedding and when going through it with my H2B we thought - Yeah we can do that!!! I think it is going to be about £3300 in total which isnt to bad for 90 people from 11:30 in the morning till early evening without getting into debt!0 -

we are officially mad
he has decided he wont wear his ring when hes on the computer (he works on a computer) or when hes gardening (his main hobby) hmm i think itll spend most of its time in the draw.
woohoo on the dress SCMP whats it like ?
We really are nuts counting the days ahhhh:eek::eek:
the reason im going on about my hair now is i want to let it grow out if going brown. Still havent decided but need to soon as roots are really long. Im leaning towards red 2bh it feels more me but most people seem to think brown
scmp that dress looks fab! For what its worth i like the strap but it will be beautiful without aswell. Sounds like you got a great buy.
sorry i went a bit awall i can only manage small wedding things at a time and work is totally stressing me out. Im decanting to another school in 7 ish weeks and having to sort though all the **** that someone left before me and write reports. Then set up a class on the other side for 12 weeks. The school numbers keep shifing to going down a class aswell so i get used to the idea of not being there and then their numbers change :eek::eek::eek:
atleast my kids designed a new hair style for my wedding which would solve my hair problem, mostly neon pinks purples oranges ect. Would def be different :rotfl::rotfl:
anyhows got 2 days of so thinking about going to get my ring sorted on tuesday and weve another house we really like on tuesday but its going to closing date...
sorry about the rant.0 -
that dress is gorgeous scmp and i have to say i quite like the strap aswell lol but it will look lovely without. mine is strapless and about the same shape i dont know how to do a link to show you. im sure your mum will be fine and still enjoy the shopping its more the experience of seeing her 'little girl' in a wedding dress that its all about. try and find something similar to try on for her. im a bit disapointed i wont get to experience the shopping with my mum bit but thats what happens when you get married in secret lol.
my def your having a busy time try not to get too stressed.
regarding the hair i would go with what your comfortable with and forget what other people think.

Aww thank you for the comments on the dress... it is going to arrive at work in the next couple of days... kind of nervous!
I do like the idea of the rose strap but from the pictures it just seems really bulky? Guess i will know soon enough!!!!

I've sent my mum a few photos online of wedding dresses and sneaked my one in as well. I said it was an idea of what I was looking for in preperation to 'wedding dress shopping', Plant the seed and all that!!I definately can't duck out of it as I have two brothers, both married and I am the only girl lol.
I hope you can find time to relax in your two days MyDef and I have had a thought about your hair while it is the length it is right now... Grow it out! I am assuming that if your hair was still red before the wedding you would have the roots done for the photos. You have some time to grow your hair, see if you like it and if your future husband laughs at it or not and to see if that is what you actually want?
By the end of Feb / March you do not like it then make it your usual red again and you will never have the doubt of the ‘what ifs’ when you look back on your day. My best friend is actually getting married the month after me (to my fiances brother… don’t ask, it’s Wales lol) and she has dark blonde hair, which I last saw in 1996 (the blonde hair that is) and since then it has been a darkred/purple colour and she is 100% sure and happy keeping that hair colour forher wedding. In her eyes her children have never seen her natural hair colourso what’s the point! I am still going down the ‘almost natural’ hair but that is just who we are! You could all ways concider the pinks, purples and oranges route!!!
Sorry to hear about the cornflower blue matching issues, hate to say it but i chose the Sage ones and there is tones of stuff that goes! It's quite lucky really as i hadn't even thought that things wouldn't match!
This weekend the bunting flag number are up to 207! I am officially bored of bunting and will not be doing any more, it is definately the mothers turn!
I also finished the table centre vases. I say vases, what i mean is odd jam jars with twine, charms and ribbons glued around the topsLast of the big spenders me! lol

I would be well and truly fed up with the bunting by now! How many are you planning on making?
thats for the advice about growing it out, thats what ive been doing ive got about 8 weeks of roots and the more i think about it the more i hate the brown. Like really dont like it so i think im going back to red. Though asda have stopped selling my dye so i really hope after all that i dont have to change my dye.
in actual wedding news (for once) ive ordered my wedding ring. Got a lot done on my sencond day of and while i didnt get what i wanted when i went up im happy with what ive picked and in hindsight i think it will be more timeless :T
