Thanks both of you it is a relief, we didnt think wed get it as it was a closing date. Hopefully we will be in and settled by the wedding. I dont think we have that much left to do, prob famous last words lol

hi ladies hows things just thought id put an update on.
iv bought earrings and garter this week and im bidding on a bag on ebay which hopefully il get as it matches well with my dress. im still working on invites (im a bit sick of them now because there a bit monotonous to do lol)
and im arranging to meet niece next week for a wedding pow wow it'll be so great to discuss it with someone other than OH (no offence to you lovely ladies) and we get to look at dresses shoes jewellery etc in real life not just online.
hope all your plans are coming together.

Hope the house 'stuff' is going along smoothly for you, so exciting!

Runaway bride... garter and ear rings! I have not even thought about jewelleryyet as I don't normally wear much, something else i would have forgottenwithout this forum!!!

scmp i have lists lists and more lists so i dont forget things lol . and a wish list on amazon which is where the earrings and garter are from curtesy of swagbucks :T.

I used to not be bothered about weddings at all, and while I still wouldn't have wanted a big do for myself, I love reading about other peoples big days, and am now addicted to Four Weddings! :rotfl: It's strange, maybe I am a big softy after all.

Haa haa i gave up on the lists but am working from my excel spreadsheet weekly. The problem is that if i don't put things on it then i don't think about it!

Thanks about the moodboard, There is one with things i we like and the other is the reality lol. I am sure it will get filled up over the next few months with lots of photos. It is just hard to visulise everything when it is all boxed away in the spare room!!!:(

I have gone an done it..... i bought another wedding dress. I knew this would happen if i started looking to early!!! The other one looks very 'white satin and weddingy' but the other is more me. All lacey and cream rather than white. This one was £65.
I really have to make a decision and put the other one on ebay ASAP or the groomsmen won't be getting shirts :eek:

Oooohh i like that one too.... normally im quite fussy ahout dresses. I suppose if you can try them both on maybe ypul just know? I didnt wanna take mine of once it was on. You could wear both and have topless groomsmen :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

house is going well. Had a panic last night as my dads been up and looks like we need new front and back doors and the paints of the wooden windows which could start to rot, had a we flaky, thought abput reducing the offer but its all good now. Cant do anything and we really like it so its another expense to add to the list:rotfl: they want us in two weeks on friday :eek::eek:

sorry know its of topic but weve been trying to activly move for like a year so im looking forward to it. I dyed my hair on Sunday, much better. Only thing is i think its to bright for like a week so will need to make sure i dont do it too close to the wedding but not so long away that ive roots.

i feel like ive not much i can do now for the wedding until we start getting paperwork sorted and go back to the venu for our 3 months to go check up. I will no doubt find lots soon.

i cant believe its nearly march!! Time is flying

Hello Ladies!

So I took the plunge and ordered my wedding dress online from Dressilyme in Hong Kong. It came way quicker than I expected it to and I am extremely happy with it! Here are some photos if you are interested;



It cost me less than 200 quid too! I ordered custom fit but it is still too big around the waist/torso, so will need some minor alterations. The length is perfect though, which is great as I'm not very tall and part of the reason I chose custom was to avoid it being way too long. To be honest, I expected it to need adjusting anyway, so I'm not disappointed at all.

I think the quality of the fabrics and workmanship is excellent and I would therefore feel confident in recommending them to others. Maybe I'll start a new thread so that those getting married in other months can also benefit from this information too!

hi lots done this weekend bought bridesmaid dress/shoes/bag, flowergirl dress, pageboy suit, and waistcoats for H2B and DS1 just waiting to collect from bhs now. they didnt have anything in cornflower blue instore so all had to be ordered except waistcoats, also have to order mens ties online from home as mensware is a 'concession' so the store cant order them for you and my store doesnt stock cornflower blue seems like a strange system.
my earrings arrived and there much nicer than i expected so happy with them.
iv also slightly changed the design of my invites i think they will look much better as i wasnt entirely happy with the layout before.
things feel like there coming together now although i still dont have a ring lol.
