I thought it was fraud and was annoyed that they kept placing orders for items that were priced lower than what they should've been. Maybe I should've just asked them to stop?0

Hmm, sounds trollish to me.
If not, then I'd contact a good solicitor if I was the OP.0 -
Yup, it's a trollOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

In the reply I received they said that their activity wasn't fraud and that they would use whatever they could against me If I were to share their details wrongfully.
They are correct.
It is NOT fraud and you had no right to pass their details on.
Start apologising to this person and hope they don't sue you!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I'm starting to wish it was...0

Yes, asking them to stop or barring their account so they can't order from you would have been a more appropriate response.
In future, before you accuse someone of something (particularly a criminal offence) you may want to look into exactly what it is.
You've been incredibly stupid and will probably pay dearly for it.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
What do you think they could do to me?0
-
For the DPA breach : http://www.ico.org.uk/what_we_cover/taking_action/dp_pecr
For defamation of character and libel (written) , slander (verbal) then depends on how good your customers solicitor is.0 -
What do you think they could do to me?
They can report you to the Information Commissioner for breach of the Data Protection Act. Information about the enforcement options available to the ICO can be found on their website:
http://www.ico.org.uk/what_we_cover/taking_action/dp_pecr
In addition they can sue you for slander/libel - what sort of judgement they would get would depend on how good their legal representation (and yours) is as well as the full details of the case (exactly what you said, who you said it to, what if any impact it has had on the victim).Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
What if I were to tell the customer that I haven't given their details to other companies and suppliers?0
