Use with caution. My head is mince reading all that stuff. Seriously, why would anybody spend £13,000 a year in the Co-op when they get a staff discount working in Sainsburys?0 -

And if you find the thread in which the OP melts the heart of a copper to dodge a fixed penalty notice, you will find a post containing a list of aliases. It's the gift that keeps on giving.0 -
Op I strongly advise you to approach the national press.
I too have suffered discrimination and embarrassment from Co-op staff and my story and photo was published by the Daily Mail following the court case.
I knew instinctively that the Co-op manager, who happened to be a southern woofter, was challenging me solely because I am a Yorkshireman of a certain age.
The fact that I was widdling on his cucumbers was totally irrelevant.0 -
Make your mind up. In your first post you said he called PayPoint first, now you say he called after.
If you are going to complain again or go to the press at least make sure you get your story straight in your head first and stick to it.
Please quote where I said he phoned up PAYPOINT BEFORE the police arrived?! If you opened your eyes, I quite clearly said he (the store manager) informed me he was on speaking to paypoint trying to get this sorted, which I doubt was the case as he kept walking around and going at the back, he was obviously on the phone to the police telling them what was happening. He phoned PAYPOINT, AFTER the police arrived to check if the vouchers were genuine or not.And did he not do this because of the colour of your skin?
It sounds like he may be incompetent but that doesn't make him a racist.
I can't prove he is racist but he came across as one.Just click on the poster's name and you have the option to go to post made by him.

So what if I work in Sainsbury's and get a staff discount, I can choose where to shop, when I want to, don't have to explain my reasons why doing so.0 -

Thanks I think I will, any idea how to approach a newspaper regarding this incident?
Funny enough, I have contacts in the Press Release industry (PRWEB) I might just release a £2,000 press release on this nasty company if they don't start taking this matter seriously.
I honestly was going to accept their apologies and leave it as that, but £40 in CO-OP VOUCHERS IS A JOKE! THE TIGHT !!!!'S COULDN'T EVEN SEND A CHEQUE £40 IN VOUCHERS IS PEANUTS TO THEM, NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! THEY ARE NOT TAKING THIS MATTER SERIOUSLY AND THEY BETTER WELL DO.0 -
Where will the £2000.00 pounds come from ?0

I totally agree that people should be taking this issue more seriously unfortunately they obviously lack empathy for those less fortunate.
My wife The Very Reverend Winifred Ohbejoyful agrees with me.0 -
