  • Oooooooh to the Coffee Jar....I know the ones you mean....I used to Work in the Student Union Cafe (albeit 13 years ago now!!)....and they used the really big Jars....I'd love one now to put all my Coin into....

At the moment I use a big Plastic Budweiser Bottle that I've had for Years....I dread to think how many coins can fit in there....I've never even managed to get it halfway full....

But it makes me smile to try and fill it up...as I'm sure it does with you too!!

    Keep Going hun!!

Hello CR and DH *HOK3Y waves*! I am going to cut a slot in the top of the jar and seal it up reeeeeaaaaal good, then pop it in the back of the cupboard until the new challenge begins......and then I will be rich, rich, rich by next Christmas......and cursed at the bank with a million pounds in pennies! :D

Very true CR - not corny at all. It's not the end either, not even the midpoint....more like the starting point to being a super saver and financially secure for life. :)

DH, that would be a great goal - see if you can fill it! I'm going to try to fill mine by next Christmas.....I am, I am!

On another positive note, I have checked my accounts and can change my total debt to......*drumroll*.....20,901!!!! Under $21k and gaining on the $20k mark......you will be mine in less than 4 weeks.....oh yes, my sweet! :)

    Must be a great feeling!

I pinched one of those huge coffee jars too, it's brilliant for sealed pot.

Not long and you'll be under that 20K mark, that will be an amazing feeling!!
  • HOK3Y, you are on the right track. I hope you can finish paying it off on time. :j.

    Hiya wegle and Jane!

Yes I am rather chuffed to bits at closing that account. Just over the moon about it. Could not possibly be happier at this point. That's been a long fought battle and now I have finally won. I am the Master of my finances and Chase Bank, you just went down! Eat my shorts!

I will be staying on track throughout this process Jane - no way, no how will I be veering away from my end goal. I just figured out today that if I can pay everything off by Sept next year, and pull in the figures I think we can pull in, Hubster and I could have £50k in the bank by Dec 2015. Think about that for a second. We've been denying ourselves this kind of freedom and constantly revolving $25k+ of debt (the bill I just paid off was at $5k just 3 months ago). Mental! I have been mental! No more! Onwards, upwards, and off to the stars I go. Nothing is getting between me and absolute financial security. Nuttin!

And I am loving The Secret - loving it. I'm about halfway through and it is pushing me on, willing me to succeed. Best £12.99 I have spent in a while.

Life now revolves around the next payday which is September 17th for me......it cannot come soon enough! I have bills to pay! I was thrilled to receive a final bill from my solicitor and see that it is £350 less than I expected - yeah! So the money I allocated to complete payments to him next month won't be needed in full......which means more money off the debt. Yes! Looking forward to sitting down tonight and rejigging my spreadsheet with our expenses. Also need to put a couple of auctions up on ebay which I have been a little lazy about. I am going to have a fabulous debt busting weekend - I can just feel it!

Wishing a marvellous money making weekend to every one of you! X
