Day off, will find out what's been going on there when I arrive tomorrow.

Ideally there'll be good news about the drains, somehow I feel it's unlikely.

Spoke to someone at my friends work place, the job sounds really interesting, and even better is that my friend had a call from the woman I spoke to saying that I sounded like I could be a good fit for what they're looking for if I decided to apply. Application half done. Just need to tweak some bits after I ask my friend to have a read over it, and then upload my CV and a few other bits of supporting evidence.

Workwise, its still 'meh' my weekend girl who has been covering some of the midweek shifts since the resignation has got a new job so can't do anything midweek anymore, still waiting for the job advert to go live on the recruitment portal.

Well, get it done. This is sounding like one those rare "opportunity knocking" kind of things, and unlike the postman in the 70's - will not be ringing twice. Besides, you're cheesed off to the back teeth in a mixed metaphor kind of way with your current job - so this would be better.

I've been on a course, useful but somewhat death by powerpointish. But it was if nothing else useful to meet people from other divisions of the company and other regions of my division. Reading between the lines many of them are as cheesed off as I am by certain things.

Only somewhat? They didn't read from the slides as well did they?

Let's hope they're all not applying for the same job you are... ;)

Those problems must be bad, as you've not really been there long enough to get properly cheesed off by minor stuff.

Finally hit the redemption threshold on yougov, so hopefully will have another £50 to pay off a credit card within a month. :D
