This is true, and the burning torches (and witches and other paraphernalia) will provide light to see... :T
You forget the burning water. It's a canal noone could ever accuse it of being clean water! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Woohoo day off tomorrow.
Sort of. Am going to have to go looking for paper cups - we've almost run out and of course the box missed from the delivery was.....
In more day off like yet still likely to be torturous type activites I've been given a spare ticket to the Bolton game tomorrow afternoon. Best take a my best sense of humour and ear plugs to survive the match and my thermals and windproof jacket to survive the Macron. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

There's nothing like enthusiasm - and that was nothing like it...scubaangel wrote: »Sort of. Am going to have to go looking for paper cups - we've almost run out and of course the box missed from the delivery was.....
Where "just in time" becomes "just because..."scubaangel wrote: »In more day off like yet still likely to be torturous type activites I've been given a spare ticket to the Bolton game tomorrow afternoon. Best take a my best sense of humour
I'm sure they'll be fantastic... *snicker*scubaangel wrote: »and ear plugs to survive the match and my thermals and windproof jacket to survive the Macron.
Now I had to look that up. It just shows how effective that sponsorship was..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Yeah the new sponsorship deal started in summer I suspect Macron are thinking that long term BWFC *might* improve and actually get their name known for something other than mediocrity in a good game. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I know everyone likes to win, but sometimes just having the game being good is a start. After all, a walkover is not a good game.
Too many times I've seen clubs win 4-0 against the Ulan Bator Wanderers and claim it as some kind of major achievement..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

From the reaction of my Dad when he comes home after most of the games I suspect winning 1-0 without it looking like a lucky goal would be an achievement against almost any other team lately. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

If the game is entertaining, and they're winning (even if it looks like the opposing goalie was felled by a lucky rabbit's foot hurled from the stands), then there isn't much to complain about..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Yes entertaining....I've heard that in relation to football.
Sadly I and my Dad are Bolton Wanderers fans. We don't do it for the entertainment. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
