Yes entertaining....I've heard that in relation to football.

Sadly I and my Dad are Bolton Wanderers fans. We don't do it for the entertainment.

    Let me guess...it's a good pain... ;)

  • No it's a very very bad pain. The match was horrendous, apparently after thinking they'd hit rock bottom last time I went to see a game they've managed to get worse. They were lucky not to lose by 3 or 4 goals instead of just 2.

Then why do it to yourself? ;)

You must be jinxing them... ;)

A loss is a loss. Goal difference is just fluff except in rare occasions. Was it an entertaining match?

  • The entertainment was from the guys in bubbles at half time and then the three people who staged pitch invasions. Most of the amusement being from seeing how utterly unconcerned about catching them the stewards were - I suspect they were as bored of the game as everyone else was.

    The guys in bubbles?

It's not much of an invasion if it's done by 3 people... ;)

So no bright side whatsoever - that's pretty grim...

  • Zorb football apparently is its name - there were four guys on the pitch trying to score goals to win pies for their row of seats. Far better than anything the professional players were doing.

If the professional players lose - they still get paid.

If the Zorb footballers lose - no pies.

Guess where the incentive lies... :T

Yeah the pies would do it for me too - especially at the price they charge for them in the ground!

In the meantime one of my bank accounts is being annoying, I've got my Dad's account set up as one I pay a standing order to but his details don't appear in my payee list so I can make a one off payment to him.

The HMRC cheque is safely cleared and bounced in to my other account so I can dispatch it safely to the most needy credit card (likely the MBNA to take off the last of the money I'm paying the full interest rate on), which should knock a few months off.

It's how they can afford such a superb team...

Try going into your history to one of the recurring payments. It may allow you to make a one-off payment there.

    Have you calculated your DFD?

Well if pie sales are buying the team no wonder. They're stuck in the 'circling the drain' system now, bad results and dull games mean fewer supporters getting off the sofa every week, fewer supporters there mean fewer pies sold - although it won't be long until people are throwing pies at the team in an attempt to check if they're alive or not.

Nope tried, can't do it, and whats really annoying is that I can't see Dad's complete bank details to just copy them over as part of the account number is starred out.

It's on a whatsthecost snowball, but it needs fully updating which I'll do mid week when the overpayment has cleared.
