In a "Help! Well laziness probably doesn't affect it. You're obviously in the swimming groove at that point.scubaangel wrote: »my sprint times have always been shocking though
Easy to improve that:
Just needs tarting up a little to make it a little less obviously fake. The music would probably help too...scubaangel wrote: »- but they barely get half way through it before they're getting out and going home.
There could be two reasons for that:- They can't count, and think they're finished.
- The thrashing around is so ineffecient, that they are in danger on sinking like a stone by the time they get that far.

Either way it makes me glad I'm not trying to do swim fit since I'd just end up even more annoyed with them blocking up the lanes than I do old people doing backstroke.
Nah it was just incredibly bad swimming rather than slow drowning. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

See, that's what taking it seriously gets you. You're getting high blood-pressure and stress from all this, while I've been laughing uproariously... :rotfl:scubaangel wrote: »Nah it was just incredibly bad swimming rather than slow drowning.
So you think they should focus on "swim competence" rather than fitness?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I'd be content with just having them swim in a straight line to make it easier for the rest of us to avoid them or at least their apparently uncontrolled limbs!
I don't join the swim fit lanes for that reason - at least I can dodge people zig zagging more easily in a wider area than I can over take slow people in a narrow lane.
Oddly despite my complaining now I do come out of the pool pretty relaxed.
Of course I've somewhat undone that state of relaxation this evening by trying to learn some of the moves for the kettlebell work out, since I aquired two kettlebells from someone at work this week. My arms now ache and I was only using the 4kg one. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

The only way you're going to get that, is if you carabiner them to some sort of zip wire...scubaangel wrote: »Oddly despite my complaining now I do come out of the pool pretty relaxed.
Learn to laugh at the stuff you can't change. Doesn't always work, doesn't always last, but it saves getting irate - at least for a while.scubaangel wrote: »Of course I've somewhat undone that state of relaxation this evening by trying to learn some of the moves for the kettlebell work out, since I aquired two kettlebells from someone at work this week. It's because you're using muscles you don't normally use. Just think, when you're finished, you'll have arms like Arnie..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Arms like Arnie are not the plan, just slightly less shapeless than they are at the moment - having gone from working in a dive centre for 2 years where I was moving heavy kit around daily to the shop where I was moving significantly lighter things around to barely moving paperwork around means they've lot any tone or definition they had over the last few years.
In money news managed to hit redemption on GTM, went for £30 amazon rather than my usual £30 paypal this time around as it gets me much much closer to being able to order the Fire and cover plus is 40 points cheaper.
Also just over £37 so less than £3 before I can cash out on onepoll. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Yep, the curse of the sedentary job. At least your new one will be slightly better in that regard.scubaangel wrote: »means they've lot any tone or definition they had over the last few years.
Wait a minute - weren't you complaining a few pages ago about your legs having definition and not being soft and shapeless? Now I'm confussed...scubaangel wrote: »In money news managed to hit redemption on GTM, went for £30 amazon rather than my usual £30 paypal this time around as it gets me much much closer to being able to order the Fire and cover plus is 40 points cheaper.
Does the fire have a deadline like Christmas, or is it just as and when?scubaangel wrote: »Also just over £37 so less than £3 before I can cash out on onepoll.
Well done - oh ye of extreme patience. It'll not be long at this rate."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

No my legs are just big, there are muscles under the layer of fat on my thighs though, but legs are easier to hide than arms.
No deadline just as and when, although the sooner the better.
True I just need to keep plugging away those 10p and 15p surveys soon add up when you're getting close to the redemption levels.
Had a letter from one of my credit card companies offering me a 6 month 0% balance transfer, need to check when the BT I did last summer runs out, should be fairly soon in which case I'll most likely use this one then look for a fresh card/deal after I've been working a few months again. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Now you're just boasting...scubaangel wrote: »but legs are easier to hide than arms.
I was going to say "Why would you want to do that?" - but I think this is one of those Men from Mars, Women from Venus kind of things...scubaangel wrote: »No deadline just as and when, although the sooner the better.
Just check beforehand that there's not a new version due out. If you time it right, you can either get the old version for cheap, or get the new version for the same money as the old.scubaangel wrote: »Had a letter from one of my credit card companies offering me a 6 month 0% balance transfer, need to check when the BT I did last summer runs out, should be fairly soon in which case I'll most likely use this one then look for a fresh card/deal after I've been working a few months again.
Sounds like a plan. Once you're working "for real", you should be able to make even better inroads. Then it's saving for that deposit thing again."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I've always had big legs, I guess a combination of horse riding and swimming alot as a kid added to my family predisposition to big bums and legs.
As for covering them yup, I just don't think that short skirts are flattering on me mainly because thanks to aforementioned large bum and legs even mid length skirts look even shorter so I wind up looking short and dumpy (comment made by a friend who didnt believe me until I tried on a shortish skirt while we were out shopping).
I'll check I think its a few months before the next ones are due if they follow their usual pattern of launching in Autumn ready for the Christmas market.
Yup, and I'll be able to pay off another decent chunk when I get my first salary from the money earned from the temp job. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
