The brave/stupid thing has been discussed many times :D

Am feeling a little delicate today, went down to see a friend in the north Peak District yesterday, we roamed around his village visiting the local pubs. Always good fun going for a drink round there as its very much a small village so anyone new is a cause for whispering - it's the same every time I go to visit!

Picked up my parcel from the post office on my way down yesterday morning, so now trying to work out how to connect my phone to the speaker wirelessly, but struggling I suspect as the speaker isn't charged enough yet.

Hit my personal target for swagbucks earning too so have redeemed for another £25 paypal.

You'd think with it being the Peak District that they'd be used to boatloads (or more accurately busloads) of strangers wandering around. Unless your friend is usually gossiped about... :rotfl:

Give it a little more time. Often the idea is that these things just present themselves as browsable on bluetooth for the first 3 minutes after turn-on.

Its a tiny village with no real tourist attraction so they don't see the tourists there. He likes it when me or our other uni friends go to visit because it scares the locals - most of whom have never left the village.

I worked it out eventually. It did help when it was fully charged though. :D

Yes, you'd be surprised how many electronic devices don't work very well without electricity...

I didn't look closely enough but its possible!

I know most strange isnt it.

Todays battle with technology is in my attempting to update my satnav. No matter which data cable I'm using to plug it in to my laptop the lappy won't 'find' it, although at least it's fully charged for a change.

Be careful with USB cables - some are "charge only" and not real USB cables (God knows why as you're only saving 2 wires). Try them with some other USB device, and if that's recognised, then you have a real USB data cable.

And, if all else fails...reboot... :rotfl:

I know the ones I was using are data cables as they're the ones I used to use with my previous phone. But we got it working with another laptop so could be a problem with mine not letting me download the drivers.

As I'm home alone tonight I've enjoyed marrying up the remains of several bottles of vodka, and chucking the empties in to the recycling. Also watched 5 hours of Chicago Fire on Dad's Tivo as with working I've not been able to watch it during the day when he's out. Just got about another 20 hours of assorted tv shows still to watch!

I hope Jeremy Kyle isn't among them...

It's all the same brand of Vodka.....

Nope, I have Castle, NCIS, NCIS LA and Hawaii 5O, plus a couple of one off shows. Clearly not going to get through much more than a couple of episodes tonight what with having to work tomorrow but it's a start.

I take it you're into the crime shows then?

I'm sure they'll be better appreciated as entertainment after work than doing a marathon stint of blood and snots and wall-to-wall dead bodies...
