Last time I remember having it for sure was flying back from Tenerife in January, although I may have used it for ID since, my driving licence is as always in my purse to be used for ID when necessary. But I need the passport number so I can be a referee name for a friends naturalisation paperwork.

I thought I'd put it in the drawer with my stationary but apparently thats one of my old passports, which only served to remind me how little travelling I've done since I got the new one as it has no stamps and the older ones all have several.

What? You need it for getting booze at the corner shop? ;)

I had no stamps in the old one, and no stamps in the new one - so rub it in... :p

This EU thing stops all that fun...

Only thing I can suggest is to retrace your Tenerife steps. You may have just shoved it somewhere which seemed sensible at the time, but not so much now.

I've checked the coat I fly with, my handbag and the suitcase I chuck stuff in to that I need to take out to the apartment next visit, the only bag I've not checked is the one I travelled with as it was borrowed from my Mum - hence thinking I need to ask if she has it. But she's away until Sunday night.

The passport is still MIA....my National Insurance card on the other hand has been found after likely around 10 years missing.

Went for a walk around Rivington reservoir with Dad earlier, first time we've had a walk since his knee got bad, seems not to be causing him any pain so as long as it still feels ok we might head up to one of the other reservoirs mid week. Then took myself for a run around the local reservoir, far too many flies! But I did see a couple of baby bunnies which was cute - thankfully they were moving slower than I was.

Good grief - I haven't laid eyes on mine since I was 16.

It's good to get out while you can. What's causing his bad knee?

    That's assuming you're not working.

Why thankfully? Are they in a hotpot now..? ;)

We try to walk around one of the local reserviors most evenings in spring and summer so we'd go even if I am working.

The physio thinks he tore some soft tissue in his knee a few months ago, he's been taking it easy ever since but has said for the last week or so it feels fine again but since he's been out in the garden when the weathers been good he's not felt like walking as well. He's still not keen on walking the local reservior as it's got more slopes than the others.

Thanks to my hayfever if I don't breath through my mouth while I'm running I wouldn't be breathing at all!
Not got them in the pot but it does tend to be embarassing when small wild creatures are moving faster than I am. In the past I've been over taken by bigger rabbits, squirrels, ducks (admittedly they were swimming) and the odd smallish deer (who are expected to move quickly). That said I've over taken a couple of badgers and some ducks walking.....

That's good. I sometimes go up to a "local" reservoir after work, but to lounge around and watch the sailing. it's fairly much what I can manage after working.

Give him a few more weeks of on the flat, then he's going to have to get used to slopes again. As with most injuries, if you pander them too much, they stay pandered.

    Get that whip out... ;)

You'll have to get a mask to keep them out then.

I expect that. Most stuff that sees me runs for its life - one of those things. A surprising thing seems to be stoats. They can't half motor given their tiny little legs.

I've never seen a badger out and about. Well, not a non-flat one anyway...

Yup thats the idea, the reservior we're planning to visit this week has a nice extension loop from the main path which should be a good test for his knee without being too strenous when he thinks he's feeling up to it.

Happily I have been at work today so thats at least another week at the office job - they've said likely next week too as there are people starting to go on holiday.

I had a look at my bank balance the other day, if I don't spend too much at the wedding (only need to buy booze on the day and food on the Friday night and Sunday morning) and my car insurance hasn't rocketted too much thanks to the accident if I can stay in work until the end of the month I'd have enough cash to pay off the bigger credit card.

Admittedly I'd not be able to rent my own home again any time soon but then I don't want to start risking moving in to my own place until I've a permanent job again if I can get more temp work it'd go towards saving for that again anyway.

Yes, unfortunately, I'm in a similar uncertain position about jobs and employment. So I'm doing a similar "wait and see" thing.

    It's a PITA isn't it?

Yeah normally I'd be unhappy too but I spent the day doing mentally untaxing tasks which also meant I wasn't sat staring at a computer screen wishing the phone would ring.

Yes the credit card being paid off would be good news but it is dependany on my not spending too much on drinking at the wedding of a friend who tells me she never has such a bad hangover three days later as when we go out together!

Yup its rubbish, but I figure if the credit card is gone, the smaller balance card is on a rate for life so can make over payments as and when without worrying about the rate going up, but I don't need to save as much towards the fees to move up here so it won't take as long, and if I can keep saving while I temp shouldn't take long once I've a perm job again (maybe two months so I've a cushion) esp as I won't have to be spending much on furnishings since I have pretty much everything I'd need already.
