They're an online entity who are in to crowsdsourcing, so you can do 'tasks' like rating how attractive someone is via insta and swagbucks (and other similar sites) for currency on the sites,

How do they make money from having a rating on how attractive someone is? Curious minds need to know...
    scubaangel wrote: »
I find that on the whole there are more tasks on the insta wall than the sb one and it's better rates.

Sounds like a good thing then.

I've been quiet as I've been at my Mums most of the last couple of days so while I can get away with some internet stuff for some reason she thinks forums are a waste of time and if I'm seen using them will be given other chores to keep me occupied.

I choose not to ask - some of the tasks its fairly obvious that you're data harvesting, things like finding the phone numbers of businesses or their managers names etc so presumably working on the behalf of online directories.

I have a feeling that telling her that would have her taking my laptop, netbook and phone away!

I think I've been on the receiving end of some of that before:
"Hello, could I talk to Mr. Black, the head of IT?"
    "I'm afraid you can't."
"I was talking to him just the other week about a vital project, and it's important I speak to him."
"Mr Black left in 1998 - can anyone else help?"

We really should keep our online information up to date, but we're naughty and we don't... :rotfl:

I know its awful, it's as though she doesn't want me ending up with lots of slighly strange friends from the internet.....other than the ones I already have.

It's ironic, but the people I've met on t'interwebs have been less strange than people I've met through school/uni/work.

Though I've led a sheltered life, and that's what I blame that on.

I'm looking forward to meeting some of the t'interweb ones again - it's been far too long.

My real world friends are pretty diverse but fairly sensible on the whole, but I went to a very conservative school and college, of my friends from there I'm considered the nutty extrovert, which is worrying given I'm pretty shy until I've had a few drinks.

So did I, but friends and the "other" part of the family more than make up for that.

I don't need to watch soap operas. Get loads of news of affairs, children with the wrong fathers, threesomes, disinheritances - that sort of stuff.

Managed to end up awake until almost 8 this morning, then was woken up by Dad offering pain au chocolat and a mug of tea at 10.30 - so am currently very very grumpy as shortly after finishing breakfast instead of being able to go back to sleep I was dragged out to do the weekly shop.

Have hit the target on swagbucks but am struggling with the personal aim on insta, but then I had a bumper day yesterday so not too worried.

Managed to get through a few surveys but am too tired and grouchy to concentrate on them so will leave it for tomorrow.

Tut! Shouldn't be up at that time - or even this time... :naughty:

If someone gave me tea and nibbles, I'd be very happy... :p

    It's good for you. Allegedly.

So what have you been doing instead?

I really don't know, lack of sleep made me horribly fuzzy headed all day!

Managed to cash out for £50 amazon on instagc this evening, and had an email letting me know that £40 from onepoll has arrived in my paypal account.

So thats my amazon account topped up so I can start christmas shopping I know what I want for my sister and Mum (although thats subject to change regularly) Dad on the other hand I still don't have a clue nor for my Aunt - not to mention that last years pressie was recently sold on her stall at an antiques/bricabrac place which makes me think theres no point putting thought in to getting something she'll like.
