So thats my amazon account topped up so I can start christmas shopping I know what I want for my sister and Mum (although thats subject to change regularly) Dad on the other hand I still don't have a clue nor for my Aunt

I'm going to be buying a lot of chocolate, and finally my Mother has said what she wants - which is good, and I just have to wrap it now.

    Is she that hard up?

Not hard up, just thoughtless and living in a house which when she was burgled last year the only reason she knew it'd been broken in to was the broken backdoor - she'd been home for over an hour before she noticed!

I'm tempted to give her a card with a promise for me to hire a skip for an afternoon...

It could have been the neighbours in to tidy up?

    Only an afternoon?

Shouldnt take more than a couple of hours to shovel stuff out of the house and in to a skip - I'm not wasting my time sorting it first!

Still plodding along doing a few job applications a day on reed for temp work and a few a week else where for permanent jobs, doesn't seem like I'm getting anywhere fast but meh, only takes one to come off and I can give up.

Got a couple of mystery shops booked for tomorrow during the day and have said I'll sit with Nana for a few hours in the afternoon - busy day by my current standards!

Don't knock it. When you get busy, you'll appreciate the calm even more.

Mystery shops went well, all passed for payment already.

Hit my redemption target on SB so have requested another £25 to my paypal account which should cover Decembers debt repayments when it gets moved in to my current account next week.

Plodding towards my next holiday discount increment on insta and am a little over 25% towards the next redemption target I've set myself (£25 amazon).

Been trying to get my christmas pressie list organised, had a look at amazons black friday deals but not seen anything particularly striking nor had any inspriation from it.

Got a few more things listed on ebay thanks to the extra free listing days.

Updated my goodreads profile had a look at the stats - so far this year I've read 284 books containing a total of 58,339 pages (about 205 pages per book).

No news on the job front. But we did win the pub quiz again last night by a margin of 6 - I def earned my place on the team as I answered 5 questions correctly which noone else on the team knew, and was able to cast the deciding vote over another 2. At least this week the picture round was objects not people as another evening of arguing over the gender of the person in the photo would have been rather ugly.

Yes, I'm running a bit dry myself for certain people. I think it's going to be: Jingle bells, Batman smells, Chocolate all the way...

Another mystery shop booked for tomorrow, could do with getting in to town to see if I can find a light to clip on to my kindle cover for the travel I'll be doing next weekend - I know the coach will have 'reading' lights but I find they're almost useless and tend to annoy other passengers, think I saw some in the pound shop last time I had a wander so will see if I can pick one up.

Got my christmas pressies from my Dad organised this afternoon - its all thrillingly exciting stuff, tyres for my car (to be fitted this week) and the Marine Mammal Medic course - not so much looking forward to the training day for that though, January in North Yorks, without being fully underwater is going to be very very cold!

The upside of that I suppose being that mid week after the course I have a weeks winter sun booked as my step Dad has decided that Mum needs a holiday after the stress of Christmas and he daren't let her go alone (so my sister, a friend of hers and I are being forced to go too). I think he forgets that this summer when Mum and I were on holiday we were quite proud of ourselves over keeping our food bills down until we worked out that our drinks bill was roughly the same and we'd had quite a few drinks bought for us by men in the village bars :A:beer:

Ahh well looks like I don't have time to work, I shall have to inform my imaginary boss that I can't work until Feburary at the earliest now :rotfl:

Do you have a dry-suit as it suggests?

I do notice it mentions "cold" and "freezing" quite a bit... :rotfl:

    Shocking...

Yes I have a dry suit, just need to make sure I can find the fitting for the air valve on the front to minimise chances of it leaking (it shouldn't unless its put under pressure but not worth the risk).

Beer? Wine, by the bottle more like. :p

I'm beginning to wonder the same thing, unfortunately I don't have a pension to live on so really could do with finding a job at some point relatively soon - of course that's not down to me so I can only keep sending applications.
