Yup utter desperation. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Decided that my efforts at job hunting will be far more focused if I had a deadline to find a new job by, so have set myself one by resigning.
I've got to book a half day off for a second interview for the job up here next week as they called today wanting to do second interviews on the same day as my interview down south.
I tried calling the agency I worked for too but couldn't get hold of anyone other than the receptionist so have emailed the consultant I dealt with and let him know I'll be available for anything they might have going in a few weeks time. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

More that having actually had time at home today to relax and think things through properly I just don't think that anything I do there is going to make any difference.
Maybe I have unusually high standards but I'm just not happy with 'the way things just are' there and I don't want to be associated with it any longer than I need to be.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Sometimes you do just get sick of talking to your arrse...
At least you can say you have the experience - a bad experience counts too!"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Strange day today, recruited a new staff member, and met my replacement. Am actually relieved on both fronts as it means I'm not going to be leaving them to struggle while it's busy, the new start seems nice and has plenty of experience in catering and hospitality but has been out of work for a while since having a baby, the likely replacement is coming from another store so knows the fun of dealing with the store managers as well as knowing what needs doing work wise.
So I just need to concentrate on getting myself a new job. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
