Interview in the south confirmed for my day off

    Long journey?

so at least I don't need to worry about my area manager giving me a day's holiday (and if I get it then it means thats one less notice day I have to work since I'll obviously want to finish asap to prepare to move - and nothing to do with my disliking the actual job of course).

If I leave after work at 5ish I ought to arrive around 9 depending on how many boredom breaks I need on the motorway. My friend has said I can stay with her and her husband, interview is mid morning so plenty of time to get some lunch and then head back up north without needing to rush.

Yes, should arrive back just before rush hour - assuming it's not a 4 hour "can you build the Taj Mahal out of crayons" kind of interview... :rotfl:

    How was today?

I get bored if there is traffic. ;)

She really does seem to want me back there, strange woman.

The email confirming the details said to allow about an hour so going to be pretty indepth but then its an interview panel of three, have spoken to two of them on the phone already the third I've not but am told is a really easy person to get on with.

I just need to get my online training work finished for the current job so I can take the certificates with me as evidence of qualifications equivalent to Food Hygiene etc.

Today was actually ok. I was lone working all day again, but it was busier than yesterday and I had plenty to be doing, of course there are going to be problems tomorrow but I won't be there so not thinking about it until Sunday.

Well since you're not there, the only person who can count (with or without fingers) won't be there... ;)

No the other two people who can count will be there and I put them on the rota to close - the one who as great as they are can't count is opening up.

I'm thinking more problems with a lack of delivery today as noone placed an order while I was away midweek. But one of the bigger problems seems to have been resolved which should make them a little bit happier.

    Which problem was that?

One of the numerous issues which should have been a quick fix yet somehow wasnt.

Interview was surprisingly good, I didn't really expect that it'd be a job I'd be interested in but I actually am now I've been to visit, the hours are longer than I'm doing now but the salary works out a little less per hour which strikes me as reasonable given it is less responsibility as a Supervisor rather than Manager role.

Then went over to visit one of the other coffee shops as the manager there is in a new store and said it's really different to mine, after that I realised I was less than 3 miles from the Trafford Centre so went to visit the Sealife Centre - my annual pass has now cost me £5 per visit.

It's a totally different from mine so theres nothing I could really take from it and use in mine - they're different concepts although use the same cake and coffee deals.

This was the one where they found my CV on a recruitment website so today was an informal meeting the deputy manager and having a look around the place to find out the kind of thing you usually see before applying for the job. The one down south is a week on Tuesday.
