Trouble is 'clothes' covers all sorts of eventualities and as I'm not too sure what I'll be expected to wear to work is going to be a sticking point I suspect - my friend who works there for example gets away with denim skirts, tights, blouses and cardi's/jumpers but doesnt see much of the people visiting the site, while my entire role will be around the visitors.

That makes it easier really. Black and white clothes. You don't need to decide in the morning what to wear - it's penguin time... ;)

My busy week has caught up with me, woke up Friday morning with a throat full of razor blades, which has fully developed in to a cold today.

    They're different designs......and I like penguins.

Currently over dosing on lemsip and hoping it'll start to clear up before work tomorrow as it sounds like today was hectic and tomorrow will be as bad.

In preparation for my moving due to feeling ill and lazy I've not done any sorting, tidying or packing but I have placed a room wanted ad on a couple of lodgers websites.

Honestly - honey. Especially manuka if you have it. You'll notice the difference on your throat.

I'm nervious about the job as its as its so different to things I've done in the past and such a new environment - but then since when did I ever do the same type of job more than once....

I'm more concerned about finding somewhere to live initially, I'm also a little surprised at just how much the rates being charged for lodging has gone up since I last looked in to it (admittedly 4 years ago now) but it's still vastly cheaper than tying myself in to a rental contract somewhere I might not like.

    So no problem then.

Exactly. And once you've decided, and if you do like it, then you can look into getting a house.

Is down there expensive (I take it that it's not London).

No it's near enough back to where I was before I moved north last year, so fairly expensive as its just about in the commuter belt but as I'm working a little bit further out there seem to be a few more properties showing up in my rental searches which is reassuring for when I am ready to get my own place again.

Well the commuter belt seems to go all the way to York and beyond - so no real surprises there.

    House-share or lonesome?
