in the mean time you your good resident neighbours gettogether yourselfs, and have a rigid plan in place on photographing cars parked in eachother drives and the fresh oil they leave with accurate time and date stamping to present to the council to give a btter spectrum of the problem someone maybe parked in yours 2 times a week but what about the others, it could work out that a car is illagally parked in one of your neighbours drive everyday, if i parked in my garage all the time except when needing to go streight back out, i would also seek to have a oil covered driveway as a result of the cars parking there to be resurfaced and present the care home with a percentage of the bill and ask other residents to do the same.
the carehome will start restricting people parking in driveways other than his when he has to faulk out money on maintenance of the track, have the council on his back and enforcing his planning conditions and the prospect of a license suspension to operate as a buisiness because of not conformaing to planning conditions.
DONT hold out for a meeting buisinesses wont partake in a meeting when they may end up with a contractural agreement that could restrict them more than their planning conditions or say somthing that could involve them into a hefty legal despute, you dont see pc world agreeing to a mediation meeting when a customers bring back a product and not honour soga or terms of warranty do you? they instruct solicitors to hide behind and do the leg work.
The oil on the driveway bit is unlikely to work, as very few modern cars leak these days0 -
Getting in touch with my local councillor is also a very good idea. Between him/her and the Care Quality Commission we might make progress. Will discuss with the neighbours and let you know how we get on.
THANK YOU again to everyone who's helped today
We're not that bad, I promise, and generally having something on council headed paper is enough to stop someone doing it again (I parked in a local Dominos staff car park to move someone into a YMCA, and had a rather offensive note left on my car; quick note through their door on headed paper has stopped anyone moaning since)
The CQC is one I hadn't thought of, but in the circustances, equally a good idea. Regarding care homes, we're required to pass planning based on the application and any objections at the time, and depending on how long ago it was passed, there may have been less cars to have to contend with at this point/live-in carers that don't require cars, so bear this in mind, too. The other issue is if it got to Bristol (after we declined it), at one point it would have been passed in 80% of cases.

It'd be a real shame if some local teenagers decided to key these cars, a real shame...0

And it would be even more of a shame when all the neighbours get their cars keyed back - or perhaps worse!.
Must be a bad neighbourhood. I'd certainly put up CCTV if i found out their cars had been keyed...0 -

Have you seen the layout, it's a dead end.
No one can get past the ops house so one car won't be a concern to the fire service.0 -

I don't think you understand what the fire service do. :rotfl:
From what you can see of the layout, the road looks to be more than 8ft wide, so a fire engine will be able to get down the road. And overhanging branches wouldn't normally stop them, unless the branches are thick.0 -

So you're saying they'll drive through the fence at the end of the alley way?
That's the only thing the cars are blocking access to.0 -
