I've waited an hour before now then I just get up and leave.

Oddly, I was ALSO going to ask if it was Frankie and Benny's, as our local branch is terrible!
It's next to the cinema, so you'd think they'd be quite fast at service, but you need to allow 2 hours to eat there, as they're REALLY slow, and the food is often mediocre given the steep prices!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I once ordered a pizza in Frankie and benny's with chicken on I can't remember the name of it. Only when it come there was pepperoni all over it (I despise) pepperoni so I said to the waitress this must be for someone else as I ordered (what ever) she said it is (what ever) I said it can't be because it's got pepperoni on it and I hate it so why would I order a pizza with it on??
So she went and got a menu and looked and lo and behold I was right! had to sit there for another 40 minutes while they cooked the right pizza and my OH had finished his meal!

I remember once waiting about 50 mins in a well known roadside resturant for breakfast, the order and drinks were taken and brought very quickly.
50 mins later, the waiter bring the breakfasts to the table with 'these are yours' they were not our but I just said yes and took them off him, and started eating, as we were starving by that time.
About 5 mins later the waiter is back, 'er those are not your,' yes we know' I said we waited 50 mins for ours, waiter then told us he needed them back to give to another table where they did belong!!
Tough he got told, we are eating them, and carried on..........to which the other table then walked out............we also paid for the drinks and nothing else, left our name and address and told then to get head office to write to us for the rest of the money and an explination as to why we had to wait 50 mins for food that was not ours...........Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I complained about a Toby carvery meal I had once where the service was absolutely awful, fully expecting to hear nothing back. The week after I got a £25 e-voucher through email! was really chuffed that they'd listened.0

We walked out of a pizza hut in Manchester as we were still waiting for 2 cokes and a cup of tea after 20 minutes. He had not even taken our food order he said he would take it when he came back with the drinks.
It was the worst pizza hut I have been in. They do employ a lot of younger staff but I have found them to be really efficient and pleasant on the whole.
I avoid Frankie and Benny's as it is too slow and overpriced.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -
I'm really pleased that some of you, at least, got vouchers to make up for the poor service.
However, being cynical, it's all to easy for someone at Head Office to dish these out to the tiny fraction who complain compared with the masses who just suffer in silence.
I'm all for complaining loudly and voting with your feet!!0 -

Went to a local Pizza Hut a few months back, we waited 10 minutes to be seated, and another half an hour before we left as nobody had even come to take our drinks order in that time! People around us were complaining that they were waiting 30 - 45 minutes for food.
I don't actually mind leisurely service once I am seated with a bottle of wine in front of me however. It depends where I am and who with, if I'm meeting a friend we are usually meeting for a chat but if I am with OH we are usually on the way somewhere so need to eat a bit more quickly.0 -
A huge bugbear of mine is when you are waiting a long time and tables that came in after you get served before you. I have been in another chain restaurant, we've been waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order, another couple come in and get drinks straight away. Stood up and left straight away, chased by the manager offering free drinks.
An explanation for this might be that you have been sat in a different section to the other table.
Where I used to work all the waiting staff were allocated particular sections of table. For example I'd maybe have all the tables in the 60s,if a table sits on 75 they belong to someone else.
If you sit on 75 and no one has seen you, then I get a table on 61 who I immediately go and serve you think (and I understand why), that this other table is getting served before you, but it may just be that your server is in the weeds whilst the server in the section next to you is not.
From your point of view I understand the frustration but generally it is a good way to run a restaurant with all servers allocated particular tables. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
