If it helps, HSBC can provide copies going at least 16 years back so 17 could well be possible.0 -
My hubby got a cpp letter in mail and decided to throw it out presuming it was spam.
I read Martin's message about reclaiming and how to help so I asked hubby to ring cpp letter people and ask for a replacement letter.
We filled in letter with help from your site and great news, he got a cheque for £189.
Thank you so much

Probably 95% of the posts on this thread are from people who have complained direct to the CPP refund scheme. Of the remainder, very few are from people who've had success complaining elsewhere for finance dated earlier than 2005.it is telling that there is not a single success story with HSBC either which does not give much cause for optimism.
As I said earlier, the few posts on here mentioning a failure with HSBC is in no way representative of the outcome of all HSBC CPP complaints.
You really do not need old leaflets in order to have a successful mis-selling complaint.0 -
I've not seen a single success story for pre-2005 HSBC claims. I've seen many relating to Santander and Natwest however.0

Many? You mean one or two?I've not seen a single success story for pre-2005 HSBC claims. I've seen many relating to Santander and Natwest however.
Does this mean all CPP complaints to Santander and NatWest are upheld? I sincerely doubt it.
There are 1143 posts in this thread, how many even mention complaining to Banks at all?0 -
The number of posts in the whole thread is irrelevant because aside from the fact that the majority are yours :rotfl: the primary discussion has been that of the CPP redress scheme. My point is that of all the discussion about pre-2005 HSBC claims not a single one has reported any success yet we've seen a number of positive results from other vendors.0

120 is not the majority.:paside from the fact that majority (of posts) are yours :rotfl:
That's my whole point.the primary discussion has been that of the CPP redress scheme.
I wonder how many posts a thread about HSBC not upholding CPP complaints pre-2005 would actually garner? Very few is what I would wager.0 -
Good grief. I think you'd argue black is white.0
