Anyone tried this? how do you view the record free today? every time I try it still wants me to register as normal (which is 14 days free then they take payment) that is available all the time not just today so what should I be doing just to get the free census records today?
Think I have worked it out, looks like you can search free but still not view the record so not really giving us anything apart from 'clever wording'.:(0 -

Just got notification via Facebook that Ancestry.co.uk are offering free searches of their British Army WW1 Service Records/Pension Records and Medal Rolls Index Cards to tie in with Remembrance Day.
Terms state "These records will be available to search for free from 00.01 GMT on 10 November 2011 until 11:59pm GMT on November 13 2011. To view these records you will need to register for free with Ancestry.co.uk with your name and email address."
I'm already a member and these records are really useful; not only do they give details of army service they give insight into personal details such as marriage, children, physical descriptions etc. Really worth a look!
