    Not sure how I missed this before - an ecxellent find as I've found several records from one branch of my family.

    I knew they existed from family members, but couldn't find records of them (we have a very unusual surname that is uniquely spelt so in theory, should have been easy to look up....!). The records here show they came from a different district which adjoins the the main family area, so I am very happy that it's given me a break through and will hopefully be able to trace them fully now.

    Ancestry is very useful, been using it myself in the library to build the family tree. But I have found a number of errors, though mostly in the original census records. One surname in the family has been written 3 different ways in successive census records from 1881 to 1901.
