Any idea how long this offer is open for? I'd like to take I up when I know I've got three clear days to get the full benefit.0

Just to mention that if you go to ancestry's site anyway and click to look at the info and then close to leave, they usually offer you 14 days free trial anyway.
But why not buy their family tree program (2008 is coming out shortly - twr computing for £19.99 incl pp) that usually gives up to a month free trial of ancestry. The program is brilliant and easy to use, add photos, videos, music whatever you want and have your own internet family page all included.
And if you want help with your family tree research - join the free site:

Just tried this and it's still working. Many thanks op, I was desperate to find something and was thinking about signing up for the 14 day free trial but this is fantasticThere is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

great, i have just searched my family name i found all my family members going back to my great grandparents i never knew! i know my great uncle researched the family tree and his son put it on the web after his death. i find my younger brothers details entered (also an aunt who died in childhood) my name is not mentioned. i remember a wedding about 20 years ago, when the great uncle was in nursing care, his son wanted to take a picture of all the M
family but not me as i would marry and change my name and not carry the family name on. at the time (I was 15) i felt like **** now i feel worthless.
sorry, but prehaps the past should stay so.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -
