Who said you will end up in court? I'm willing to bet it was the same people who are trying to extort £100 from you.
I cannot understand people who are just happy to hand over their hard earned money without a fight .... I guess that's why it will continue until everyone grows a backbone and fights back.
This time you are obviously lucky and can afford it. Next time you may not! ..... Or it may be an old couple on a very tight income.
My conscience would not let me do it.The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]

Look at it this way. You would be kicking yourself for wasting £100 if you pay now when if you had paid initially, it would have "only" been £60. Have you not read the Ibbotson case.?
Go on, read it and see what the judge said about their claim for their losses. It's a good read in any event.

Either a troll or a fool. I don't know anyone that stupid so it must be a troll.0 -

I have had about 8 of their dodgy invoices through the door addressed to me as the registered keeper. Have the drivers paid a penny? Nope. And neither will you if you remember that they are trying to persuade you (successfully at the moment) into believing that they have a legal right to YOUR money.
Enforceable or not, sounds like it's time your drivers learnt the error of their ways if you receive this many. To inadvertently get a ticket is one thing, to know they are enforceable and then blatantly abuse how the land owners want the land to be used is another thing.0 -
It depends how many drivers are involved there could be dozens. The point is though that they are only enforceable if they do a small claim and actually win, that is not easy!
And tell me how do you know these drivers are blatantly abusing the car park ? Staying for longer whilst shopping is not abuse, parking on a white line is not abuse, returning within 3 hours is not abuse!
So tell us what in your opinion is abuse? And prove that these drivers did thatWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I doubt that she's stupid - more likely she's just plain frightened of going to court.
Also she has a point because not enough folks come back and say that the nasty bad parking scammers have gone away/or been beaten.
I can't rule out an ex-clamper troll yet though.0 -

Thank you Iceweasel.
I'm a fool for paying £100 to avoid a possible court appearance and a bigger fine? Ok I'm a fool then thanks for your advice.
How can I prove it is enforceable? Well how come this BPA and POPLA exist if its all illegal? I suppose I'm going to have to be the guinea pig case aren't I? I'm going to post everything including what happens to me in court/after as that part of people's story is lacking. My attitude has been changed, not by supportive comments, but by abusive ones. I'll see what the next correspondence is. Would anyone be willing to help with my prep for court please?0 -
There seem to be many regular posters on this forum who get truly angry if someone decides to pay a parking charge. They seem to take it as a personal insult.
Why?0
