The right to express my Englishness (not Britishness) without being classed as racist. The right to be proud of being English, ditto (whereas it is applauded to celebrate being Scottish or Irish).
And on this forum I resent being called bigoted and narrow minded for having a Christian worldview by people like yourself whereas adherents of other religions do not get subjected to that.
Being white, none personally yet, but I don't suppose I be would able to hold a white art or literature week without being called racist.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
That's because every week is white art and literature week. The minority events of these types where set up originally due to being excluded from mainstream events.
You don't need white week because its white week every week.0 -
I personally don't think that you expressing your Englishness makes you a racist.
There are racists everywhere of every nationality.
If you want to be proud of who and what you are then go for it.0 -

By whom?
I always remember the headmistress at my son's infant school, who was Barbadian, being hauled over the coals by one of the parents for not having any other black people on her staff. She just said to them, 'where do I get them from? Am I supposed to drag them off the streets?' If they do not apply she can't appoint them!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Woah.....this drifted.
I'm happy to celebrate pretty much everything and anything.. All the nationalities in my mongrel status, the countries that I have lived in and are part of my cultural identity, the faith I loved being part of and wanted to believe, the faith was part of what made DH who he is, and all the ones I've flirted with but not committed to since. Anything beautiful and the beautiful bits in things I find otherwise ugly.
There is a reason when I was well I was always up for a party I guess....:).
Anyway, despite the drift I hope op found some material for thought.....0 -

It is certainly not fictitious, she said it to me and others at an Open Evening. Please do not suggest I tell lies. (although the fact that you thought I lied about it confirms YOUR bias).(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Of course you did. Did they have special application forms for one legged black lesbian single mothers who live in State funded mansions as well?0
