Morning all,
I was surprised to see we'd disappeared from page one, everyone seems to have been busy one way or another so not a bad thing.
Welcome home Lil_me, it certainly does look like you crammed plenty in to the hols and apart from the washing mountain, I hope you're refreshed!
Aimeelister and Newmrslockwood, well done both of you on the race for life, hope you're not suffering today.
My friend's house move went really well. She didn't tell me 'til we got to the new place that it was a first floor flat. I should've got sponsored for the stairs alone.. I got to do some cleaning which cheered me up; the house she moved out of is being done up and everything, but everything was covered in plaster dust. She didn't have loads of clutter to move either (none of those boxes that stay unpacked for several months) as she lost quite a lot of stuff in the Carlisle floods a couple of winters ago.
Anyhow the point of this is I came away in the mood for a stock check/ blitz on my own house. I'm expecting to hear next week about my tennancy renewal so I'll be either ready for the off or ready to settle for another year. (Fingers crossed for the latter please).
Have a lovely day folks, no doubt I'll be back before the new thread starts. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

Thought i'd pop in quickly. Thankfully the wedding was good, but after a comedy pantomime of errors which involved mainly the bride's dress zip falling apart as we went to put it on, and her having to be sewn into the dress taking an hour and a half, so consequently being an hour late for the wedding, the meal slightly overcooked cos it had been sat around for an hour, and my mum and sister getting very tipsy before the wedding due to the stress of the dress, and all the bridesmaids having to get to the venue without them.
Mum was threatening to hit the manager of the bridal shop who had come to meet us at the venue to see if there was anything they could do, and there was me trying to calm things down.
They are thinking of suing the shop as there were lots of silly problems like buttons missing, stains on dresses, and them offering to sew in a new dress then, but only if my sister postponed the food for even longer, considering it was already a bit wrecked, my sis refused to do that as her partner and his mum are diabetic and needed to eat without waiting another hour.
So, despite the stress, she is married as thankfully the venue was very close to my parents house and the registrar did wait, although if she had been another few minutes the whole thing would have been called off.
So, we are just back from staying overnight at the hotel, and we need to unpack and go do some food shopping for the hols, before i go to visit my aunty in the hospital tonight.
I've managed to wash Charlie's bottles up, and make them up for today, get the BM on with a cake, get Charlie fed, and write a shopping list. Got loads i need to do today, and i have about 4 hours before going to the hospital so i'd best get on and catch up later.

Oh Michelle, what a stressful day! Bet you're all glad that's behind you. Onwards and upwards.
Hope you get some antiobiotics that work next Pigpen
Afternoon all
Would have been "morning" but I couldn't get online. I have no idea why, in the end I did a system restore and here I am but I don't feel very confident. Everything was fine when I closed down last night.
*twitches*
Got one load of ordinary washing done and almost all dry (just jeans left) and got my bedroom curtains washed and they are ironed and waiting to be put back up (when DH finishes watching the TT).
Dinner cooked and cleared away.

2 loads of washing done that will need to go through the TD. One cake done in BM. Mix in for a 2nd one once it has cooled down enough to put back on. Booking in information and directions got from in-laws. Morrisons visited and lots of goodies bought. Good job DH has an estate car.
One load of baby bibs to wassh. I'll be setting off for the hospital in just over an hour, so i'd best try and get a bit more done before then, as it will be about 8:30 when i get in and i can't see me wanting to do much then. Still haven't packed yet, but i bet i will end up with stuff not ironed, which i hate doing but can't really help.
I've got till about 3pm tomorrow, and DH says he'll sort Charlie out while i get on, so fingers crossed.

Hope you have all enjoyed the one of many days that Dad's get fussed over. Went to see my Dad this morning and have lunch with him and mum. DH was pleased with everything off all 3 sons. DS2's birthday as well today. Yes, he was a fathers day present for DH 23 years ago :j
Looking forward to my half day off tomorrow to get stuck into cleaning. Will make my weekly list tonight. Never been so excited about housework before, so glad I found this thread. :T
Am going to do my shopping online with Mr T later, DH did not have time to go to Aldi yesterday and we cannot manage until next Saturday, so careful shopping to be done.
Well no dinner to cook all 7 of us have just been out for tapas and DS1 already asleep on settee. Both dogs asleep. DH reading Sunday paper. DS3 and girlfriend playing on DS2 birthday Wii. DS2 and girilfriend gone round to friends and I am hoping for a bit of piece and quiet so I can spend some time on here.

BiffDebt free since September 2018 :j:j:j0 -
Not yet Biff, the link is generally posted in this thread too when Lil_me starts the new thread so you'll not miss it!
Michelle, what a bloomin' trial that must have been! Poor bridey. Ah well, at least they didn't have to postpone.
I've played catch up today to make up for all my galivanting laziness last week, so hopefully I'll just have extra missions and things I've overlooked next week.
Catch you all on the next thread later. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

This week didn't happen for me - sorry Michelle: I've just seen all your lovely extras and I so wish I'd been able to play.
It all went horribly wrong on Monday morning and didn't get much better until today...
6.30am DH leaves for work following badly-timed argument the previous evening about lack of you-know-what at bed-time.
7.00am breakfast tidied up, leap into shower while DS1&2 watch CBeebies
7.09am start to feel slightly more human and up to negotiating shampoo bottle.
7.10am hear wailing, leap out of shower to find DS2 standing on computer desk looking as though he is about to leap the 18ft over the bannister down to the concrete floor below, stark b-naked (NOT as I left him!)
7.11am notice very liquid steaming poo on DS2's leg, eye follows down to foot (extended so Mummy can take a closer look), also covered with same and then to keyboard which is positively swimming with the stuff - as is all the paperwork i'd left out, and the chair and the carpet beneath.
7.11-and-a-fraction-of-a-second-am remove small child, clean him up, staple nappy to backside, gouge out and mop up poo.
7.25am dive back into shower - water now run cold, but need to rinse hair of shampoo and disinfect rest of self....
7.26am paddle wearily into bedroom to find DS2 standing on dressing table with the latest pot of moisturiser in one hand and the contents of latest pot fairly equally divided between nether regions (what nappy?), mirror, window and tapestry-covered stool.
I'd wail and shriek and cry - but I just cannot muster up the energy...
Anyway - tomorrow is a NEW day and NEW week and I have done my meal plan and I am PREPARED.
Bring it on...
Oh and Grannynise - I LOVE you. Thank you!Is it home time yet?0 -
