Life gets in the way...

I sure have missed alot of positive going ons on MSE, so happy to hear your hubby is back to work. Again, like EWO you really are LMD, so consistent with your PADs, I can't do more than a £1 at the moment. Hope you're continuing to enjoy good times:beer:0

Thanks guys!
I must say though MissDebt. No matter if the PAD is a pound or a penny it's a portion of debt no longer accruing interest!

Well here we are again following another home made lunch, staying away on Thursday so won't be able to bring lunch on Friday... might treat myself for being so good all week! Then again, I know I won't and will go for the £1 butty from the supermarket...
Hubby isn't taking lunches to work, although at his new job they have a subsidised canteen so he can get a really decent hot lunch for £2 and as he is still recovering from his operation I am prepared to pay £10 a week to build him back up to full strength.
Made my PAD this morning, was supposed to be £0.75 but my online banking has a minimum online payment of £1... therefore my PAD was £5.75 as it needs to end on a 0 or a 5 for me to be happy - ooh it sounds like a tombola!
As you can probably tell I am still on my happy streak, my savings are building, I'm reducing my debt and with hubby working again life is almost back to normal. I did however see the new iPhone launch last night and I'm sorely tempted to order one. I have had mine for almost 2 years now so my contract is over next month so I was going to move to sim only. I will NEVER sign up for another 2 year contract again though so I would have to buy the handset. Perhaps when I have paid the PS4 fund I should continue with my iPhone 5s fund! :rotfl:
I've been really busy today so it's whizzing by so fast... swimming after work and then dinner from stores although I need to remember to collect my prescription, might nip out if it ever stops raining, I don't have my brolly with me today.
That's all from me for now, I hope you're all having a lovely week, no matter what the weather.
Keep smiling

Afternoon hunny.
Glad everything is positive. Sounds like your husband is happy which must be a huge relief for you. I think £2 sounds like a complete bargain for meals. It's not really a £10 weekly cost as there would be a cost for homemade lunches- might only be small but could be deducted.
Well done on your PADing, I'm a bit like you, only did a £1 but not happy with that balance but don't think I could push to £5 each day I had no activity on my accounts.
I have an iPhone 5, I'm biased as I love apple but think its a good investment. Not sure how much they are to buy out right as mine is on a contract. I know it's a luxury but we all have to have something.
Hope you have a fantastic rest of the day xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Hello again,
Not feeling so cheery today as I appear to have developed a cracking headache and I can't seem to shift it...
On the upside, today is a NSD for me as I am going to my parents for dinner tonight and staying over saving me a drive home. Cobbled together lunch of mainly fruit and a home made rock cake haha!
Almost another week has flown by... it will soon be Christmas! Good job I have been working on that PS4 envelope in the safe! Still a way to go to the target of £350 though.
Thanks for supporting my iPhone 5s craving, hubby doesn't get it and feels it will be a complete waste of money. In all honesty my phone still works and I also have a company mobile I can use to tide me over if mine was to break or get lost. I will have to see if I can talk him around over the next few weeks
Made my rounding down PAD this morning of £1.49 to Santander... must remember to do it in the morning as I'm not at home so likely to get side-tracked!
Still feeling tired from the busy weekend, but a nice relaxed one coming up with just Saturday afternoon at the races planned in. Cue pretty dress and fascinator :T - old ones I might add...
I hope everyone's having a good week

Afternoon Hun,
Hope your headache has passed and your feeling brighter.
Hope you have a lovely time at your parents and the nsd and petrol is certainly a bonus.
I'm a huge fan of apple as I feel you get what you pay for. Cost per use is minimal really and the fact that its stress free is a huge bonus. I have an iMac ( granted don't use it too much since I got a ipad) but in the 8 years I've had it, it's frozen once and has cost me £20 to upgrade the operating system. No viruses and totally stress free. I have also been offered £350 for it .... Don't think a windows computer would hold the value.
So for me an iPhone is a no brainer...
Anyway if hubby can have a ps4 I'm sure an iPhone can be justified. You are doing so well with your ps4 fund.

Hello everyone!
Headache is still with me which does not bode well for tomorrow's trip to the races... I'm not sure if it's a lingering migraine as it made me feel quite nauseous last night.
This morning my mum made me a packed lunch bless her heart! Delicious it was tooMy hopes of a NSD were short lived as I took the lady who works for me for morning coffee before work. We have had a really busy week so it was much needed.
Obligatory PAD this morning of £2.66 - every little helps. Rounding down is a great way as its minimal and I don't notice it going.
We are also Apple fans, we both have iPhone 4s and we have iPads and an iMac. We will see if I can talk him round, only 6 days to launch haha! However if it's the choice between a new iPhone and a holiday I would take the holiday, we haven't been away for 2 years and we definitely need a break now he's working again. I agree with you though EWO, you definitely do get what you pay for with Apple, their aftercare is superb.
Despite the headache and the 'Friday 13th' I'm still feeling positive, I LOVE Fridays
Gotta dash as I have a lot on today but will hopefully be back tomorrow with news of winning on the horses... fingers crossed!
Have a fab day

My brother has the 4s and it seems perfectly fine so can understand it being a want rather than a need and also understand the choice if a break : phone ratio.
Hope your headache passes quickly and that you enjoy the races tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a big win xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Rubbish day at work today so the headache is being fuelled with a bottle of red wine. It will certainly help me sleep if nothing else haha!
Busy day tomorrow so may not have chance for an update.
What a mixed bag of a week I've had!

Aww bless ... Big change from the beginning of the week when you were so upbeat and positive. Hope the red wine helps and you feel brighter in the morning.
