Well the headache had disappeared by this morning, we got to the races about 2pm and I didn't win a bloody thing all afternoon! Hubby had a bit of luck but I won not a sausage!
Good job I didn't expect to win xxLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25710 -
Hello and good evening!
Great day today, a NSD and Monday is already out of the way! Had to make my PAD though to credit card, just a £1 as no bank changes.
Hubby is really enjoying being back at work and his goo mood is contagious
I am starting to worry about the car MOT which I due within a month... Car is of an age now where it's costing me to fix it...
At least I have the savings to sort it out
Keep positive people :T

Glad everything iś still going well.
Fingers crossed that the mot isn't too costly and that your savings happily cover it. Must feel so much better knowing that you have savings and its not going to impact on your debt free goals.
Here's to another good day tomorrow xxSave £12k in 2014 #080 £0/£8,000.

Well Hello!
It's another lunchtime in the world of LMD... Home made lunches are well and truly back on the menu and I am really enjoying them! Cannot bear to spend my hard earned cash on butties any morehaving said that, I always have the same thing for lunch - I'm not keen on change!
Speaking of change, I really need to count my change pot up from the car... I just keep forgetting :rotfl:
Today is another NSD for me, I'm trying really hard this month as we have had to have some very spendy days so I need to make up for it. I still have about £130 available to last to the end of the month so this should be very possible.
I start next month with the MOT and another trip to the vets. This time she's being spayed, rather than her being poorly, I think this is possibly the last time she will be excited to go to the vets! Bless her. It's an expense but worth it as if it's not done it can cause complications and tumours in later life.
October will see the savings take a hit from the car and the pooch, but at least I have them and don't have to worry where I will find the money... isn't that the point of an emergency fund?
Still very positive in the LMD camp, hubby is loving work and will hopefully be discharged from the hospital outpatients this afternoon - there's always something for me to cross my fingers about.
We have been talking about trying to get away late this year/early next year as we haven't been on holiday for 2 and a half years, it's been a rough few years and we could do with a break. It won't be a luxury holiday, but if we can grab a last minute week in the sun I will be a very happy lady indeed. This more than makes up for not treating myself to the latest iPhone! Gives me another incentive to NOT spend money too :T
Hope frugality isn't hitting people too hard and you're staying positive.

Hi hubby, wow you are doing really well. You are very inspirational.
I think a break sounds perfect and gives you something to look forward to particularly during the winter time.
Hope hubby is completely discharged.

Hi Im new to the site!
whats PADing ( i am currently fighting the debt whilst trying to save for a car!)LBM 17/09/2013 [STRIKE]£4283.40[/STRIKE] November 2015 total [STRIKE]£4339.45[/STRIKE]

Hello and a big warm welcome!
PADding is where we pay a little bit towards our debts every day (or whenever we can) I do it every day by rounding down my bank account balance to the nearest whole £5. So for example I'd my balance is £358.76 I would pay £3.76 to my credit card, leaving my balance at £355.00 exactly. Hope that makes sense...

Thank you!!
I like that idea! I do that with the coinage in my purse! whatever i have left in it at the end of the day i take out all the 1ps, 2ps, 5ps and 20ps and pop them in my varies jars till they are full then pay that in and either food shop with it or pay it off one of my debtsx
