  • Well, what a fabulously lovely weekend! I admit I probably spend a little too much money but nothing I couldn't cover with what I had saved up for, as I said it has been planned in since March.

I have missed hubby so will be pleased to get back home, he really enjoyed his first day at work so that's good :)

Will be back to normal tomorrow with packed lunches and no spend days I'm sure

  • Very glad you had a good weekend. Any money is well spent if you had a good time. Nothing like home though.

Fantastic that your husband is enjoying being back at work.

    Debt-free and Proud!
You are such a light and bubbly person - I have enjoyed reading through your diary! I love taking lunches too....especially because hubby makes them for me! *Lazy HOK3Y* Then again, I love NSDs too and have had plenty in the last few weeks. It's surprising what you don't want to spend money on when you become truly aware of your spending habits.

Keep going, keep positive and keep your aim high. Best of luck to you. X

  • So, here we are again with a lunchtime update, no homemade lunch today as hubby bought the wrong bread at the weekend so I have had to buy a cheap butty from the shop. No extra's though and free water at work to wash it down haha!

Made my PAD this morning after checking the online banking and realising that I had paid one of my credit card bills twice instead of paying them all... Oh my word, I'm definitely blonde! :rotfl:

It's because I have been away this weekend so all my PADding and updates have been done on my phone rather than on the computer or iPad. Oh well, it's an extra chunk I wouldn't have normally paid but at least I spotted it and won't get late payment charges or missed payment notices on my credit file.:T

I cannot tell you how great I feel today... A fabulous weekend, hubby back at work and a new found gusto for my second job which should lead to more income... and more income means LESS DEBT! The weekend was a spendy one but I had planned for it and we are off to the races next weekend so that will also be another spendy one :o... better get working my @ss off to cover the costs!

The rest of this week (up to Saturday) is relatively quiet so should be full of NSD's and PAD's - whoop!

Hope you are all well my MSE friends and are staying positive!

  • As a one off a purchased lunch is not a disaster. You have done so well so I'm sure that this wont send you off course.

2 payments to the same credit card - oops. Hope making the extra payments hasn't stretched you too much.

So glad you feel brilliant, hope that feeling lasts and that life has turned a corner and it remains positive.

Good luck with your upcoming nsd's, if anyone can do it you can xx

Thank you! I feel like a new woman it's quite remarkable!

So, today I DID make my homemade lunch and breakfast so I'm back on track and feeling hap-hap-happy! Today is a NSD although I have a prescription from my doctor this morning which I need to get... so I guess tomorrow won't be a NSD haha!

Some great news, I have 2 bookings for my second job and on the run up to Christmas it will get really busy so I'm very excited :T

PAD was made to savings this morning so I need to increase that total, from here on-in the rounding down to pesky CC#1 starts til we get paid again...

I'm off swimming tonight after work, I missed yesterday as I was exhausted from the weekend but it makes me feel really relaxed and definitely works up an appetite for dinner in the evening!

Hubby is loving his new job and also seems to have found a new lease of life, things definitely feel like they are on the way up and after the past few years I didn't think I would say that!

Love my lunchtime ramblings, apologies if anyone finds them inane or boring but a few minutes reflection boosts me for the remainder of the day and is so far keeping me away from the chocolate vending machines of an afternoon!

    Have a lovely day :)

  • I love reading your lunchtime posts. You are always so positive and like the PADing is addictive.

Hope you have a great swim and the vending machine doesn't keep calling your name this afternoon.
