Oven back together, bath plug hole fizzed, hob shiny, another load in the WM, dog walked, another booking taken and ballet dancer squeezed in to the cottage (had a lot of phone calls these past three days for accommodation); Lovely Lodger gossiped with, The Archers listened to.

If I have to listen to wretched Tom talk about his wretched ready meals once more I'll scream.

Dusty.. my boys are all 5ft8/9 little short@r$es the 3 of them lol.

Mine are not tall 5'9/10" but as I'm only 5'4" and DH about 5'8" we never expected them to be tall. My Dad was only 5'6" and for a long time we thought that would be the max for DS2 as he is very like him (wish my Dad was around for him to tower above, he'd have liked that).

Car all clean inside by me DS2&3 only took 20 minutes so I've cleaned all the LR windows as well.

Time to get the washing in and then the neighbours bunnies, just one more day of rabbit duty before I pass the baton over.

  • Well this thread has done it's job. I'm fasting today, hungry, grumpy and worn out from a very tiresome day at work but I picked myself up and I've just spent 2 hours scrubbing the kitchen. It's never been so clean, and all because I didn't want to come back here tomorrow and say I hadn't done anything. I feel amazing right now, roll on tomorrow's jobs!

DS collected from trip, all is well. Hat was worn, water was glugged and there is evidence of sunscreen on his ears :T his best friend was there too, I thought they were still on hol, so he is very happy today. They were both nice so I let them have the party bags from Saturday :p

Followed by a fairly uneventful bath / supper and bedtime. Hurrah.

Had a look at the M&S trousers - shame I've already bought some for DS. They seem to do the longer length even from the smallest size. I'll see how we go on with the TU ones, but will remember for next time. He's never going to be a shortie, bless him. I'm 5'8 and DH was 6'2 so its no surprise he's all arms and legs, really. DD too - I gave up on tights for her (oops, that came out as t!ts lol my funny keyboard) after her second winter, now she wears leggings under skirts and dresses when its cold. In fact, she like cropped leggings under skirts in summer (you go faster down the slide, you see?)

Anyway. Kitchen has been tackled, washing sorted, still have some ironing to do and have gathered DS stuff for labelling.

Bags ready for morning, clothes out, need to do my lunch. Then I need to get a shower. I better get a wriggle on. I've told the littlies to sleep in their own beds tonight - they both squeezed in with me in the end - I went in the spare room, lol.

Under some circumstances when they can guarantee the child/ren will not be left with the parents they will allow family members to have them.. otherwise they go to foster parents... sometimes they go to foster parents for a short period while family members are assessed if it all moves quickly.

It does all depend greatly on the individual case so what happens in one family won't necessarily happen in another. A lot also depends on the reasons they are being removed.

With my cousins the SW got the police in and took my cousins while their mother slept beside their cots.. they went to a private childrens home and have been there ever since.

Well obviously they will have to check to make sure the child/ren will be safe with you and you will manage. They do tend to prefer to place children with family members .. it saves them lots of money.. foster carers and homes are not cheap!!

I hope all works out well for all concerned (((hugs)))
