Quick question for all you bakers here :D I want to to make apricot and honey flapjacks for a picnic on Saturday. But I have some fresh apricots that need using up so was thinking of using these..

Can I use fresh apricots instead of dried ones? And is it the same amount of apricots? Obviously I would use less water.. Help...please..lol

Thanks! I am getting BBC & ITV mixed up in all the excitement :o It's BBC south east, we are the same area I think. If you watch the news look out for the short girl with the long red hair, she is probably shrieking.

I don't know about the apricots natty but I do know that I'm only an hour or so from you and would be very happy to taste your flapjacks

Hope all results are good, and that all Flykids are on the life path they wish to be.

Please feel free to tell the story of the boy you know who got *good enough* GCSEs without working too hard and then didn't work as hard as he should have in Year 12 and had to repeat the whole year;) More details can be supplied...

Been to Matalan and Dunelm - Mum has spent DS's birthday money on essentials for Uni - needed to spend an extra £6 odd to get it up to £50 for 10% off so the frying pan and spatula were, in effect, free;) (this is the money he would get off his grandparents for his birthday).

I might delete this later for security reasons;)

A flippin' cat has relieved itself ON MY CLEAN CARPET!

    So,

    today's flying

    WM on, all out,
    DW run and emptied

I shall start with the bathroom. After some carpet scrubbing, obvs.

Oooh might have to actually put the BBC news on tonight. Will definately look out for your daughter :D Yes we are definately in the same area, albeit soggy today. I'm just under Sheppey, and sandwiched between Rainham and Canterbury on the map :D

You are more than welcome anytime bonnie :D

Haven't managed to do anything. I got up at 10am and have been on the sofa ever since. Haven't even managed to get to the shower yet..am going to head there in a min. This damn vertigo is really annoying me, but it is getting better as each day passes.

Hmm must go to Mr A's and the farm to get various baking bits for the picnic on Saturday :D Otherwise we will end up having to pay a fortune on food at the zoo and I don't want to do that. I want to make it as MSE as I can :D

That is because it didn't smell right!! Mine always do it too!!

DD2 got her results today too.. 1xA* 1xA 9xB 1xC 1xD and 1xE (French) .. The science ones have all been graded wrong so they are redoing all those at some point... another case of good enough grades with no real effort.. waits for the fall out at college.

HV been.. and booted... waiting on my sis arriving now.

Dots packing done, Squeaks half done, Delilahs bag out but she has been fed and dressed and my bag is still full of hospital stuff.. though I'll probably need most of it in there for the weekend anyway.

I just got a letter asking me to apply for Squeaks place at primary school!!!! ... She's not even at nursery yet!!!

Just swinging by to check the list. Yesterday vanished and I had a late night (3 am cough :o) and a lie in (10 am cough :o) but think that was enough to knock me back into day mode now.
Kids need to get their rooms sorted and then I need to go to town but they are still pretty much in pjs too. That'll all change next week on camp, none of us is going to be getting a lie in as we'll all be up from 6am onwards. I do hope the cubs sleep until 7am.
Need to get them motivated to do some packing too today as nobody is ready for camp yet!
