Well, did some flying yesterday, Can't remember what exactly apart from sticker stalking at Mr M out of town, then other Mr M in town, then the Mr T out of town on the way home.
DS was incredibly helpful when things got a bit rough at Mr T
"My Mummy was waiting for my stickers.....like a good girl, she has good manners to say "EXCUSE ME!" I think you forgot and just have BAD MANNERS and you will make your Mummy very sad!"
Nothing like being publicly shamed by a very loud 3 year old, so I did get a bit more of a look in when more stuff came out, but due to the pushing and shoving at the outset I lost out on most of the good joints of meat.
Bargain of the night was Mr T Finest bunch of flowers £10 for 50p, and assorted other bunches at 15p a bunch, that and 40 tubs of extra thick double cream at 12p a tub.....DD2 and her friend with the Pink hair have been making HM icecream and HM curries at Pink's Mum house.
Me? well a 9p punnet of strawberries and a 12p pot of cream for a LR midnight picnic was very nice, and no gnat bites!
Today, the builders turned up to repair my ceiling and coving.....once again not without issue.....had to get ring the EX to speak to the boss contractor.....what is it with people these days? no one wants to do the job they are being paid for? GGGRRRRR!
Flying was minimal as I was spinning like a Tasmanian Devil
DR table cleaned
DR floor hoovered
Dyno-Rod Soup made
DW reloaded
compost bin washed
rubbish pick up from round the house
LR floor cleared and hoovered
rugs rolled up and hallway hoovered
DD3 has fed WM once, but still Mount Washmore is getting bigger and bigger
Well, DD4 is asleep so going to try and get some sleep....nighty nightThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Go skintboy! Amazing how bad people's manners are sometimes.
Couple of errands this morning:
Dentist - all of us
Garage - ask what needed for key sorting
ILs - take kiddies, set up laptop and wireless bb, bring ironing home
Then home, possibly via Mr S to browse their clothing sale and hope bedding is 25% off too... Need new sheet for spare room. Plus I want some walnut whips (!) to make a better peppa pig cake topper for DD.
Then its time to crack on. Couple of kitchen cupboards and a drawer getting unruly. Upstairs cupboards all getting unruly.
I have made a decision, though. I will need a new kitchen before long, and was toying with the idea of an extension in the back for a bigger kitchen, replacing conservatory and wrapping round back of house. But I've had a word with myself, it will cost heaps without adding heaps of value, and although it could be fab, an L shaped kitchen and more room isn't necessary when there is only 3 of us here. We have room aplenty. So, I will just replace conservatory roof and may look into having new cupboard doors and work tops in the kitchen afterwards. I think the frames are fine.
Will cost much less and addresses the practical issues and not my "dream house to match a dream life that I don't have" issues.

Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Morning everyone. I'm running a little late today so just having a quick cuppa before jumping in the shower (can it take my weight!?) and starting on the paid stuff.
I have my own list for today:
Fit new broadband hub
That's it really as I think if past experience is anything to go by this one job will take every spare minute and ounce of patience.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Good luck to any gcse'ers today!Bossymoo

Oh No CY! That is tantamount to disaster in my household. Luckily my MIL lives down the road and she understands. She had 4 kids before WM's were the singing dancing boxes that they are today.
Seriously impressed at your productivity with the carpet machine Valli. I've [STRIKE]begged[/STRIKE] pleaded with DS2 to clear his room properly so I can hire one of these. His idea of clean is to put everything off the floor onto the bed, dump on floor again at bedtime and repeat daily.
Left my washing on the line last night. Doh!0 -

DW emptied and reloaded.. my surfaces just need a wipe down and all will be presentable in there.. maybe sweep the floor too..
Front room can be delegated to anyone on hand to do it.
WM loaded.. but I want curtains in it so need to do some bossing.
Delilah snoring upstairs
*YAAWWWWNNN* I am REALLY tired today. I think I might have been doing rather too much the last few days.. never mind, my house is looking tidyish again and I've got loads of things done I have needed to do for weeks!
Girls bounced upstairs to tidy their pit!
DD2 gone for results.. DS2 isn't bothering apparently.
I have 1 hour to do packing which normally takes 3 days plus Delilahs stuff to pack too.. this should be fun!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
1xA*, 5xB, 2xC & 2xbtec merits. Not bad for a year on the PS3 and little revision. 2 grades were below target so hope OH doesn't kick off.
