Hi Wingo, its good your Dad is rallying round to help your Mom, Hope she is doing a bit better, big hugs for her. Its very black here and looks like thunder and lightening but none yet, thank God, I hate the stuff. Noticed on facebook your kids collection caterpillars, wish they would come and collect some from my garden they are eating all my broccoli!
only mine hardly have any leaves left at all.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
My dad was getting annoyed too Sylvia, there's loads of catterpillars this year! The butterflies look nice but all dads lovely flowers are getting ruined by them. That pic was only a few of how many they caught!
Mums doing really well thanksBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
AB: Fracking TB down already  (round in circles trying to win )
Our kitties look cutey big-time sending ZZZz's during the day but ready for the night time antics!
My weather station has dropped from 1500 to 1000 so rain coming, Meow won't be playing catch me if you can
Indian T/A ordered, 20% off code on Hotuk (Hungry House.)
Sylv: same here, my indoor plants are almost stripped bear  (have feed the plants to hope boost foliage, survival rather than more food)
Did anybody watch 'The Imposter' - really hard to believe? Would you fall for it?
Pies n flans day in the inn.0 -
Lol @ your puddy Alfie!
Jasper can smell my mums female dog on me and keeps wanting to hump me!
He was barking like mad earlier in the garden at what I thought was neighbours cat in their conservatory, turned out to be another cat we haven't seen before! Jasper must have knew it wasn't theirs!
Glad you managed to salvage your runner beans.
Fire**fly, maybe the delivery driver fancies you and is buying the garlic so he can see you?Garlic pies?
Hope the pies turned out ok Sheils and DH has had a great day
My dad was making fadgies (bread buns) today and flans too! He's turned into a proper little domestic god since mum took ill!
He was telling me he helped mum in bath and she asked for her dentures to be cleaned, dad dropped them by accident in toilet but quickly fished them out and cleaned them before mum saw! :rotfl: (sshhh...don't tell mum!)
Sylvia, glad you got some peace and quiet now and time to compGood luck tackling that washing! Is it thunder and lightening where you are? It's really loud and heavy here now!
Son had a footie tournament tomorrow so hope it stops soon.
Wingo - how lovely your dad sounds - doing all the cooking to help your mum and bathing her etc. It's wonderful that we all find inner strength and mega compassion when our loved ones are poorly, love/companionship etc kicks in big time. You know what I'm trying to say :A:A
Bladdy shame the dentures popped down the pan!!!:rotfl::rotfl: However, they were saved!!! Bless him :A:A:A Done worse in me time love
!!!
Will keep mum
!!
Sylv/wingo - black as the ace of spades here - dark thundery sky and can hear rumbling in the distance so guess the storm is coming our way soon.
Not so worried about thunder (unless it's right overhead and so very loud) but get fairly scared of the lightning :eek:
Wonder what puddy will make of it? I know its coming cos she can tell - as could my lovely late dogs - they always seem to know.
Me thinks the night should be interesting!!!!xxxxx

Bad news re CaterpillarsWill see if I can find some info to help tomorrow. May go to farm shop/garden center and ask advice too. Guess it is widespread?
Indian T/A sounds lovely! May order one next week - love a veggie curry with p rice n popps!!
Storm seems to be approaching so time to batten down the hatches! Having said that, maybe it will pass over? Cat seems to think otherwise!!!!
Just watching repeat of Doc Martin (last one) and looking forward to new series :j!!

Euromilions has gone the same way as the Thunderball (DOWN!)
Indian is rather nice: Poppadoms, chutney, Keema naan, Wrap, Chicken Tika Masala, cauli etc. (sorry AB:)
75f in, 70f out. Not so bad as the long heat wave as cooler night helps
Sheils: I used FREE Avg & Look-out Android security progs on previous phone and tablet.
Kaspersky sometimes do a double security bargain pack (pc\Android)
Got bored with them. Back to my Nokia 6300 and use iPad as have ££££ of iTunes n apps.
I find new stuff fun (unpacking etc.) but once the novelty wears off get bored!
Meow loves playing with packaging and empty boxes too:eek::eek:0 -

DS3 sitting eating my steak pie now and says it is lovely so if it pleases a chef it must be OK.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Can't believe some phones are around £600  Can buy high-end pc or 2 budget laptops for that!
I can read books on my ipod but does eyes in as too small, but audio books great on there! iPad good but heavy to hold.0 -
My DD gets lots of free books on kindle Sheils
I bought her one or two cheap ones and signed up to the daily email for free books then just chose which ones would read. However, one I chose, I didn't check it first and it had an explicit pic on it!
Some great books though, Sherlock Holmes etc.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0
