  • Oh dear, I don't think it will be too long before I am dumped from this lark! I have been handing the items over at the counter as there is no post box within or directly outside. The post box I use is about 100yrds away from the shop and with a different address?

I have only been doing this a few weeks and this week I had four items to post but one was missing. The week after next I have two items to post with smarts but the smarts are missing? Is it a regular problem to have items missing? Do you ever have to reuse the smarts which you have received in the test mail?

I don't know what you mean by "the smarts are missing".

If you mean they haven't been sent to you from TNS then they don't usually come that way - you use ones which have been sent to you by other panelists in the envelopes you record as having received. When you put the 4-letter code into the appropriate place on the system, it takes those codes and adds them to the listed smarts (when you check what smarts are in your stock online you will see them there).

If you mean they are not yet recording online which smart to use then if the post item is there online you can add whichever smart you like listed as available. It is normal for there to be a period when the items are showing for the next week's posting but before they have centrally decided on which smart to use.

If you mean that a smart has been allocated but you don't have it, then it will be sent to you.

What have you been doing with the smarts you have received? Have you been sending them back to TNS or have you retained them?
  • Wow thank you for the prompt reply! I have retained the smarts so far and now understand that I will reuse them!

Sorry if I did not make myself clear. Thank you so much for your help. The parcels have still to have the smarts assigned :D

    I will get there...slowly:o

    Blimey - I haven't got December's yet :p

Is there a regular time for the "incentive" stamps to arrive? I got my first lot in September with the training material - then nothing in October with live test material. I e-mailed in early November to enquire and got a reply that they would be re-ordered. Got those a week later (with presentation pack).

I'm sure I've seen people here saying they get theirs in the 3rd week of the month - so I should have had December's by now? I've got stuff to be posted in first week of December.
I need to think of something new here...

How often do we get them?

    I've just had an e-mail to say I am a £10 daily winner:D
  • Well done! I keep checking the list of names to see if mine is on there but it never is.

I haven't had my December incentive yet either.

I believe it's 2 booklets a month (12x1st and 4xLge1st) as an incentive for the following month - plus a presentation pack in the first and last month - plus random bonuses.

I got a £10 the other week too... Anybody know how many active panellists there are so we can estimate the odds? I have to admit that I don't always enter received items straight away if I have a posted item to log - thus having a reason to log in another day and get another entry :D

Last posting day for me tomorrow after my third round of being on the panel. Couldn't come at a better time as they hace just started road improvements around my very local post office and there is currently nowhere to park!

I have won once over the 3 periods of posting, and I only use 3 post boxes.. no idea what the odds are but I imagine there are quite a lot of people doing this if you think of how many postcode areas they are covering in the uk and beyond....!

I joined the panel about 3 years ago and at the time I believe there were 6000 active participants.

However since then they have introduced the 6 months on/off rotation so Im unsure if that means they have increased the number of active panelists

In order to be in with a chance at the £10 you need to log into and update a task on your account...so I guess this works for those actively sending and receiving and also those who are doing data capture for correctly delivered or the leaflet task

In the time ive been on the panel ive won the prize once and it was within the first few weeks of joining....nothing since although whilst I'm not always active on the sending/receiving I still tend to get plenty of invites for correctly delivered etc
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
  • I am now resting from my first time on the panel doing the posting/receiving letters and I did enjoy my time doing this task. Now starting Monday 5 December for 2 weeks I shall be doing the Correctly Addressed Mail which you get a £5 voucher at the end of your 2 weeks, not 3 weeks with the run up to Christmas.:j
